^yup, voLTE or voice over LTE is sort of new tech, LTE used to be data only, hence th phone going to 3G for a phone call. under settings on iphone, cellular data options, enable LTE should be on voice and data, with the add on as said above.

How much does this matter? I can't imagine 1) being on voice calls for a significant portion of the day and 2) needing fast download speeds while I am.

Force your phone to 3G and see just how slow some websites and shit load. Where I really find that it sucks is if I’m on a call, and I need to access maps or something at the same time. My plan 4gb plan with virgin mobile was $50 last year then went up $5 in the summer and is now going up $5 again in April. So great. I like the plan though since it has unlimited calling so I can use the US roaming feature...but that has now increased to $8/day as well

Awesome man. Yeah, 3G speeds work just fine enough for me, but then again I only text and read the news on my phone and very little else. And like you said, I'm near Wifi enough that I don't need to worry about it.

Just checked, and yep Bell went up 5 bucks on my plan. Now $65/month for the 10gb deal I've had since Dec 2017. I've ordered a couple parts to fix up my now 3 year old S7 and keep it going for another year or two. The longer I can keep this plan the better. Their deals on new phones suck balls. Even to just go to an S8 they want me on like a $105/month plan.

Koodo has been great. 49$ for 6gb unlimited plan and they sent us text offers for 15$ for 10gb extra addons last month. So now at 64$ for 16gb plan.

That is a great deal! Koodo tried to sell me on $75 for 15GB which now looks like a piece of shit. That said, this is the first time ever that I hit the 10Gb cap. Had to go through 2 days of not having data while away from Wifi, which was surprisingly a large pain in the ass lol
