Well, I'm going to try one more time to get $7.50 for 3GB data only off of Fido. They rejected me because I'm pretty sure they can see the 8+ hours per day that I'm using it at a trickle rate of speed. I'd feel more confident about threatening to leave if the local Subway sandwich shop actually had functioning free wifi.
Cocoa $12,000 per ton.
It is worth noting that if/when Canada gets around to 1.4 gbps 5G networks, the entire pricing schema of monthly caps will probably have to be rethought, or maybe shifted to something more reasonable so that users don't exceed their cap in less than a minute and have car payment sized bills.
Cocoa $12,000 per ton.

I would do. I ran the numbers, it works out the same but without the international calls. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I need cheap international calls to the UK.
Edit: Correction. I saw the extras at the bottom. On the three month payment with $15 international calls. Works out the same to what I have right now.
Its better to just buy the S9 off Kijji.

Why not look for a dual sim phone and use Public for local stuff and finding a separate sim for cheaper international calls? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I tried researching this, but it made my brain hurt. Then there was the cost vs benefit of the effort. In the end I gave up. In short im happy with $60 and international calls. Its perfect. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I dont think the Samsung is duel sim. I want to stay with Samsung as it works with my TV.
didn't go back to check if this was mentioned yet. Good deal for peasants waiting for a Koodo invite to migrate:

For people who use a lot of data. Freedom is advertising 10gb for $50.
I'll stick to my 1.5gb for $35 from public, that's still working awesome for me.

Is freedom still shit though? or have they improved now that shaw owns them.
For me being on the edge of calgary it doesnt matter who I go with all the providers only seem to have 3G where I live. I may have one bar of LTE if Im outside standing on one foot and with the breeze in the right direction.
I can now say that with Band 13, and the right phone (Samsung/iPhone) it's now beating Telus/Bell at most spots in Calgary in term of network speed. I only have my S10 for a week, so I'm not sure if coverage/penetration has improved also. I'm now getting 80-120Mbps at most spots where I was getting 40-80Mbps before on band 66. Just did a comparison of a iPhone 10 Max on Koodoo vs 8 on Freedom at Hamptons Superstore area, Freedom did 102Mbps and Koodo only get around 40Mbps.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. With improved data network and a VoLTE phone, call quality also improved.
And having wifi calling enabled, you just use your home wifi as primary connection for calls at home, weak signal be damned.
Then again band 13 is pretty new and congestion may not be in play yet. And RoBelus also have their own 700Mhz Band 12/17, just not sure how their deployment goes and what phones needed to get on those bands.

If you have tv/internet with telus. They're offering a $300 credit per mobility line if you switch over. $70 / 10gb + 1gb bonus per line. Plus a little bit of savings $5-10 / month if bundled and auto pay.
I switched 2 Rogers mobility lines that I had for $65 / 13gb monthly.
So my wife gets a 30% employee discount with rogers and we are thinking of upgrading to an X and an XR for me which would come to $165 for two years with a shared data allowance of 13GB. We are currently on apega rogers wireless for $108 total per month for 5GB each with BYOD plan (I have an old shitty iphone 6 and she has a Iphone 7 with probably another years life). Our dilemma is do we lock in for 2 years with rogers and then have to find a cheaper plan in two years time or do we stick with apega and buy our phones outright from apple when we want. The savings is a wash really.
Wait, so you are currently at $108/month for two and shared 13bg data with BYOD? Do you need all that data? If you don't mind BYOD, public mobile is pretty good.
No we currently get 10GB shared between us not 13GB, but I want a new phone and she eventually wants a new phone. The unknowns are we dont know if apega will continue to charge the same price for the next 2 or 3 years or what the likelihood of them changing terms, prices or data in the future will be.
