Telus just made me a deal I couldn't refuse. I've been off contract since January, they've been trying to rope me into a new phone for awhile with the basic offers of whatever is already advertised online. But The other day they offered me a new s10+ with 10 gigs data, unlimited everything, for 95$/month, with 300$ upfront for the phone(advertised deal is 450$ for the phone with 2 year contract). I was paying 127$/month prior for 6 gigs data, on my old Iphone7. The Iphone7 is going for 300$ on kijiji nowadays, so I'll sell that and essentially upgrade to the new phone for free.

Data is only getting cheaper. That's a well established trend.

If you have tv/internet with telus. They're offering a $300 credit per mobility line if you switch over. $70 / 10gb + 1gb bonus per line. Plus a little bit of savings $5-10 / month if bundled and auto pay.

    I switched 2 Rogers mobility lines that I had for $65 / 13gb monthly.
tempting. any idea how to ask for this? do you know if its targeted or anyone with services already with them can sign up for this?

Their sales team called and offered it up first. I called back and was able to get the deal easily back on the table.

You should be able to get it by calling or online chat.

Consider that S10+ 128GB retail was as low as $699 at BB couple of weeks ago. Subsidization is around $435 if you have to pay $300 up front.

$95/mth for a 10GB plan is basically a $77/mth plan after subsidization. Which is $17 more than Koodo's referral BYOD 10GB plan.

So not bad from Telus, not the best deal I have ever seen. But I would jump on that if I'm in your situation.

I'm sure there is better out there if I hunt around and buy at just the right time. But keeping in mind I'll be selling this phone for 300$ when contract is up as well, it was a heck of a lot better than I was doing. The 30$/month bill decrease alone is great, but getting a new phone with it tops it off.

WAs reading about those. But it wasn’t clear to me if these included any other services or not. Like is it 75/mo all in or 75 + 10 bucks for Vmail, +10 bucks unlimited calling + this + that.

^Oh man, if they nickle and dimed it like that it would sink like a stone. I'm gonna say unlikely but it would be good to have confirmation on that.

For summer road trips we have swapped both my wife and my plans to $40/ 5gb plans with public mobile from the $35/1.5gb plans previous. Easy to stay under 1.5gb for us when we have WiFi everywhere.

Still really happy with public and have had zero issues with 3g speeds. Pm me for referrals.

However, a Rogers spokesperson told MobileSyrup that the Infinite plans will include unlimited Canada-wide calling and unlimited text, picture and video messaging from Canada to Canadian numbers.

also looks like it works with Roam Like Home.

this is a pretty sweet deal IMO. i don't think i'll switch my wife and i from the 10GB/$65 plan, but for people paying more than $75 for their plans today this is a no-brainer.

Cheaper across the board than before.

That's pretty good, basically what Rogers folks are paying for now after that X-max boxing deal got the price increase some months back.

I'm pretty happy about it. The giant plus is the roam like home, 40 bucks for 1GB was ok but i found myself really needing to try and conserve while on a trip. I might take advantage of the savings and bump up my data a little bit.

I thought this was pretty funny
Rogers Infinite data plans include 10GB, 20GB or 50GB of data at max speed on the Rogers network, extended coverage areas within Canada, and Roam Like Home destinations (see rogers.com/roamlikehome). You will continue to have access to data services with no overage beyond the max speed allotment at a reduced speed of up to 256 kilobits per second (for both upload and download) until the end of your current billing cycle.
So basically if you exceed your data, it is basically useless

And Telus has already responded with a 15gig 75$ plan in response to Rogers.
