What are you guys using for couples plans? I just combined my wifes account to mine. Paid out her remaining contract/device balance and got her on the 20GB promo peace of mind plan. So now we both have the 20GB peace of mind plan, my portion of the bill $65 with the home bundle discount, hers is $75.

But I think it would be better to be on a simple share plan no?

What do you intend to gain on simple share?

I think it's cheaper. $100/month on the simple share 20 + $10/month to add her line. Unless I'm misunderstanding.

two single public Mobile plans. First one refers the second one.

Cheaper for half the data and no option for unlimited overage.

But as a general statement I am supportive of spending as little as humanly possible in mobility plans, as long as you are on a grownup network, so fill your boots.

for Koodo users, my plan was $50 for 6GB. Called and asked if they could match Freedom Mobile plan of $35 for 11 GB, they said no, but gave me free 4GB more to plan. That brings it to $50 for 10GB.

Originally a Fido customer, signed up with Shaw mobile on their $45/25gb deal. A few days later, I got a call from Fido’s winback department and they offered the same plan for $35 and $200 device credit for a new phone.

Weird, 3 days ago they were doing 5gb for free. Wonder why you got 4gb.

Currently I'm at 17gb for 60$. Not really sure I'd need any more than that

I don’t think the regular Fido reps can give you the plan. You have to port your number to Shaw and wait or call the special winback department. So there’s a few hoops to jump through to get the deal.

So work has an EPP plan which at face value seems pretty good?

    $120 off the device cost
Financed over 24 months with $540 balloon at the end
20gb Peace of Mind plan for $63.75/month

Am I missing some fine print here or is this a good deal? Does the bring it back (balloon payment at the end) have some sort of catch? I was considering waiting til Black Friday to see if they have anything better (both device credit and plans) but this seems really hard to beat without dropping down to shitty network carriers.

With the EPP plans, I find it hard to do a device upgrade with a tab. Rogers has 20GB with unlimited text and talk for $50. Spoke with the EPP rep and he said its BYOD only. I think prices are going to go down again as Shaw dropped the 25GB plan to $25 if you have their top tier internet

Telus just dropped a new EPP plan which is a bit better than that ( Matches rogers you mentioned ). $50/mo for 20GB but its BYOD only. Can't combine with any device financing. If you are already on EPP its a great deal.

Doing the math it doesn't quite workout for me, I'm on a plan with spikers discount that gets me to 59.44/line inc. everything and visual voicemail plus the savings I get on my home plan ( not sure if EPP allows savings on home plan? ).

The $50 for 20GB seemed enticing at first, but I need a 5 dollar visual voicemail add on so its actually $55. Plus Telus sticks you with a $40 or $50 activation fee to move to an EPP plan so its essentially a wash in the first year. I dont need the extra data that badly so not worth the hassle, hoping that a BF deal comes along with something similar that doesn't have the up front fee attached.

If you want the deal it expires on the 31st so get on it.

^ thanks for the heads up. I'm eligible for that deal but I can't get to the checkout page. I emailed the Telus rep that's looking after our EPP to see what the deal is.

Are you on an old plan? I previously had the $60 12GB plan, switched to in-market $50 9GB. Saw on RFD Koodo was offering free data add-on. I messaged them on FB and a day later got 4GB added. So now I paid less and get an extra gig compared to my old plan.
