I ended up cancelling my Bell plan and signing on with Fido for 13gb @ $65/month as a new customer. An hour after i ported my number over to Fido, Bell's loyalty department called me and offered me 10gb for $60... so their plan from Christmas time two years ago. I didn't really have time to haggle with them as i was at work, but i am going to call back and see what is the most i can get out of them.
Anybody know what bells retention department number is?
They wouldn't give me the direct line, supposedly it is a "call-out" department only. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Well, haven't made any changes to my plan, but still super happy with my $60 Public Unlimited Canada/USA calling. This week I I have been minimum 2 hours per day on the phone to the USA and next week I'll be the same but From the USA to Canada. Can't really beat it. It's way more data than I need, and even more data roaming included. I think with incentives I'm down to $57/mo. My wifes plan is $33/mo with the bonuses.

Thanks Rage that would not work for her since she works out of town in a Hutterite Colony

Black Friday is just over a month away. Honestly just get her to wait and you'll be able to scoop up some good phone deals on major carriers. Plus then you'll always come up for renewal around black friday in the future too. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

It’s lte network but they throttle you to 3G speeds as part of their lower tier offering. It’s still faster than being on an actual 3G network though. You just can’t pull 20+ meg speedtestsThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Correct. It's telus LTE network. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

So are any of these god plans available for non current subscribers?
Looking to move 2 lines over to Telus’s network (so Koodo would be fine doesn’t really matter to me), got pretty fed up with getting dicked around with roam like home when I was away on my cut-rate plan and they are building a Telus tower at my lake house so I really have no reason to stick around anymore. Plus sounds like Telus is just better overall for coverage around here anyways.
@spikerS you mentioned you had so hookups? Just looking to move phones for now but might move my home services in the new year once I’m a bit closer to my Shaw service contract end date.

@killramos current mobility discounts for the referral program
basically, I am able to give out one of my unique codes, and you take it to a TELUS store and can active a new account with it, port your number / whatever, and you get a discount on the plan. For a limited time, you can offer friends and family 20% off any regular in-market TELUS Mobility Simple Share or Peace of Mind service rate plan when they activate a new account or add a line to an existing account.
