Since when did they start fingerprinting? A Chinese Visa is actually cheaper now. In the past you would have to pay for each entry. My last visa cost me the same but is now good until my passport expires (in my case 8 more years). In the past I was paying for two visa's per year. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I have not gone thru the process but 3rd and 2nd hand info from 2 sources. Both said they are glad like you don't have to renew until passport expires. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Singapore is automatic death penalty for drugs in very small amounts, I think if this law applied in every country, very few people would risk it.
mandatory death penalty for cannabis? lmao
Canada is the greatest country in the world lol

Funny how people reacted very differently to the girl who spray painted that ancient wall in Thailand. People in Canada wanted Thailand to lock her up and throw away the key and she was just a dumb young kid. This trafficker knew the consequences and decided to take the risk. It's generally accepted that you abide by the rules of the country you're in no matter how harsh or archaic. If the guy wanted a Canadian level punishment he should've been trafficking at home not in China.
China is waaaaay down on the list of countries you should be worried about visiting because of political tensions unless OP holds some high powered senior executive with a high national security clearance. You take a much bigger risk everyday when you get in your car and drive to work. Life changes pretty quickly and my protocol is whenever there's an opportunity to go somewhere I'm interested in just go.
For sure they scan your fingerprint at the airport when you enter. It says voluntary, so your next option is to turn around and go home lol. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yeah let's just have every country start executing people for non-violent "crimes"This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Well, consider China and some Asian countries got introduced opium by the west in order to rob them of resources, I don't blame them to have this stance since then. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Actually, this is their justification on keep on shipping the west "elephant tranquilizers"

now that is an interesting conspiracy theory i can get behind. Punishing North America for the past Opium by enabling the fentanyl epidemic here. Genius lolThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Reality is that big pharm is producing ingredients for pain killers for cheap in China. Chinese factories love to run 3rd shifts and basically products from 3rd shift are getting leaked and shipped via Post systems worldwide. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Unfortunately, it's not illegal because Big Pharma make it so.
The same process that give us fake/cheap SD cards on Amazon is responsible for the Fentanyl crisis.

I listened to an interview of a Chinese relations specialist a few weeks ago, he said there is no such thing as an eye for eye when you go toe to toe with China, they ratchet things right up out or proportion to teach other nations a lesson. In the interview he actually predicted that they would probably put someone to death for the arrest of the Huawei executive, and said Canada getting involved should have been a little better thought out diplomatically before hand, as no one else globally has come to back Canada up at all. He said if you take a Chinese eye out, they take the eye, 2 arms, a leg and a kidney when they retaliate. Also the current federal government is a bit of a laughing stock on the world stage so don't expect the Chinese to negotiate much with them, Trudeau went on that diversity/gender tour a while back and basically got sent packing. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Conspiracy theory in China is that Meng's arrest is tied to signing of NAFTA 2.0.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
There is 0 doubt that Trudeau and Freeland are amateurs handling the state portfolio and NAFTA 2.0 is BS. They have also underestimated China's response to Meng's arrest. I don't know if they have an end game in mind at all but so far just seem to be winging it.
Mccallum's piping up yesterday to save Meng was an interesting move.
NVM: He apologized.
