Model robot kits hydraulic or electric - where to buy?

In the winter I find myself with a fair amount of spare time, and I have no projects on the go this year. Been thinking of trying my hand at model kits, specifically a hydraulic arm, or robot kit. Something that is functional, maybe even an engine. Anyone recommend a somewhere online to order things like this that aren't cheap junk? I haven't built a model for over 20 years, but figured it would be something to kill an hour or so in the evenings over the winter.

Any tips, or help would be great, I'm a newbie

Thingiverse, 3d printer from spool3d (pretty sure they have ender3's in stock) and some trips to solarbotics will get you on your way

The best kits are printed these days, the real "kits" end up being 10+yr old hardware that's way out if date.

You can check our EZ Robot... they are local but geared more towards the programming aspect than building. (Unless you have your own printer)

Those 3d printers (ender3) look slick! How is the setup, can't say I have ever used one, but that looks like lots of fun.

Ender 3 is a good entry level. They're all fiddly take some learning and practice.
