Meh. This doesn't change anything really.
After visiting other functioning countries in my 20s and 30s without our heavy handed Puritan liquor laws, I quit caring.
I'm not gonna flaunt it or drive with it, but you bet your ass I'm going to enjoy a little Irish cream at the dog park every weekend along with a nice cold kolsch after hiking.

there are hardly any white people in the parks now... maybe this is designed to white wash the parksThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I find it amusing you're bashing Farkas for voting against it, when he voted against it for the exact same thing you subsequently complain about. Having to book outdoor picnic tables if you want to drink there is make-work bureaucratic horseshit, just put up a sign. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Typical Calgary. Overcomplicate the process and issue bylaw tickets $$$
Thats my bad.. not sure why that wasnt actually reported on, it was just that Farkas had voted noThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I guess it probably should have been a better asked motion. Yes or no to being allowed, and yes or no for requiring a booking system. The bureaucracy is definitely the dumb part, but can understand why councillors voted yes to allow it vs just outright no (that would have killed it entirely, not just the booking system)
