Default How some hobbies change but stay the same

Well, now that I'm married and a dad it seems that I don't participate in many of the pastimes as much or at all anymore that I used to do like going to the bar...which could be a very good thing! It also seems that I don't have the time for things like the car scene, meets/events or tinkering with cars either.

That being said, I still love me some cars so instead of the real car scene, I've taken it to collecting models, 1/24 scale to be exact. I am now making diorama for them! I know, such a nerd thing to do but either way, it keeps me out of trouble so that's a good thing.

Some of you guys are into the model collecting so you might appreciate this more than others and others are just into cars so you might like this too but either way, here's my latest diorama that I'm working on. Almost done, just have to do the upper floor.

I never got into modelling, but this is really cooooool. I like it a lot, and as you say, it's a good hobby to keep you out of trouble.

The only thing missing are boxes of stolen Panasonic electronics.

Oh sorry, I thought you would probably be aware of the posts about showing a banana for scale.

1/24 just isn't as appealing as the banana

That's really neat! A nice slider-rig video shot across that perspective would be very cool.

Trying to find any printables or cutouts for Panasonic dvd players and VHS boxes but am coming up short. I am horrible with trying to make them so if you're savvy in this department, by all means, send me a cut out!!

Just a side note here, but I'm not getting the Panasonic reference.

    Can someone please explain?

You need to attend RaceWars to get it. There's another one coming up this Friday. You should go.

Need a boom of some sort to keep the camera still to make it even more realistic.
