World Health on Macleod closing? Space up for lease.

There's a big sign on the World Health Macleod gym building that advertises that the space is for lease. Are they closing down? They closed their Richmond location in the last year.

I work for world health and I haven't heard anything. Richmond closed because the owner of the building wanted a shitload more cash and wouldn't maintain it. He thought he had them by the balls and they walked. From what ive heard the place had so many problems because the owner just collected cash and let it fall apart. As far as I know the plan is to open a new bigger location in the south to replace richmond in the near future but we will see.

This doesn't give us much hope with the MacLeod location either then. I would have expected the landlord there would have negotiated a new lease without putting up such signs if WHC is not playing hardball. Maybe history is repeating itself here, and WHC might walk away. Sources tell me it's up for lease as of Spring 2019.

Richmond Road location was a shit show. It was so cramped for space and always fighting for equipment.

Oh! I was thinking Southport too, that’s been up for lease for years, but the world health sign is still there and last time I was down there for a dentist appointment I saw someone coming out of there with a gym bag which was very confusing since the pics for the ad looks like a vacant space

Yeah who knows. I know they just got a ton of new equipment but i guess anything can happen. Good luck renting that to anything other then a massive gym lol

It could easily be split up into smaller stores. Or turned into a used car dealership.
