I got it at 8 hours 51 minutes being 90% solid for strength. I can do it but just not this week. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Stuff like that you probably want to print it at near your max layer height as it'll be stronger then. 0.32 layers or so.
I can print it next week in petg if you'd like, going camping tomorrow so can't do it before then though
Appreciate all the responses! I don't know anything about 3D printing so I trust your guys judgement. I'm in no rush for this, next week would be great!
my noob ass didn't pay attention to what I was buying through the dumbass Amazon search engine.
Ended up with 1kg of this ABS that Ender3 does not play nicely with. Eveything splits and cracks.
The only thing I've been able to reliably print is this vase mode container with wavy edges.... so I did a thing to try and use up as much of this material as I could.
This is the first filament roll I've made it to the end to. Took over a week of checking in on the printer regularly to start a new print / discard failed prints.
I didn't design these. I just scaled them in Cura to fit my layout as I continued printing / tetris

Duct tape and foamboard from Dollarama makes a quick enclosure that'll reduce the abs nightmare.
Or there's tents that cost as much as an ender to accomplish the same thing
Abs isn't so bad - but yeah some climate control is needed
done a few lithophanes that took 12h but I could still monitor it throughout the day.
now ender 3 going for its first 20 hour print... wish me the stickiest luck overnight!
I was on another forum and there were a few folks who were making 3D parts (They also put the drawings online for anyone to print) but the prices were as much as buying the hardware and doing it myself. Looking at printers, it looks like the Ender 3 is the way to go. Since I am a noob at this, the folks who are printing items, would you suggest the Ender 3 to be the starting point to get into printing. I have no plans to sell anything or start a business, just print off some stuff that I want and turn it into a hobby.
Ender 3 is a fine printer to start with. Creality has a big facebook group so there's lots of support for any issues as well. And spool3d stocks lots of parts for them so it's a good little budget machine. It'll be a tad more on the tinkering to get it to work side of things, but that is part of the hobby fun.
Ironically speaking of printing stuff yourself vs paying for prints. I used 3dhubs to outsource a bunch of my production recently. After a month of waiting for production the parts arrived and its a fucking embarrassment.
A) Who sells garbage that looks like this and B) Who the fuck acts like a professional manufacturer and blah blah quality assurance and ships this garbage out the door.
Outsource to me! My newb ass and Ender3 can do better than thatThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Holy crap that is ugly as a Forrest Lawn 5 dollar ball sucker. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
One of the items are for my Haslab Unicron so I can split the planet mode from robot mode (its been a dream since I was a kid to own him) so it doesn't need to be pretty but there are some other items I want to print and play around with.
I swear a potato with a 3d pen could go better. Sigh. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Appreciate the offer but the hope here was ordering hundreds to just build a bunch of things for Christmas / NYE rush. Too late now.
Address of Forrest Lawn ball sucker, plz...

Ouch... I thought 3dhubs had higher standards - or is that the initial checkout and never again verified? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
thats like 10x worse than a stock printer, you have to try to make it that bad...
Is anyone able to help me print something like this?

PM me!
I had that game as a kid. Really liked it.

I can't find it reasonably priced anywhere so figured it is an easy game to print haha. Others probably thought so too considering I see a few templates around. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I was just at Princess Auto South this morning and they have Dremel branded filament at 50% off ($13/box). Looks like they're clearing it out. They had three boxes of green and two boxes of red left.
It's on the shelf by the cash registers if anyone is looking.
Impressive improvements there @AndyL . Need bail money?
