My X1 has basically not stopped printing since it arrived and I still love it as much as the day I got it. I learned the hard way that any of the CF filaments should use a larger nozzle as they'll clog the 0.4mm one. I've been printing basically PLA and ABS this whole time.

This morning I started trying to print with PC...cannot get it to adhere to the textured plate at all. But I put some glue on there and so far its looking like its holding on nicely (half way through first layer). Luckily there's only one or two things I want in PC, between PLA and ABS basically all my needs are covered, and both of those have been a dream to work with.

What / how much are you guys printing to justify the spend on an X1-C?

I'm pretty happy with my Adventurer 3? But I only print things maybe twice a month when I find a random usage around the house.

I sold half a dozen Prusa Mk3’s recently and they all had 10-20k print hours on them. So just a bit of printing.

Yeahh, definitely not a hobby. Would go broke just in filament costs at that rate.

I just print for fun, mostly practical stuff. I.e. custom center console tray for my car, mounts for various smart home sensors, toolbox organizers, just whatever I need. This morning I finished printing a cupholder to hold my Yeti coffee mug in the tractor since those cupholders are too small/shaky and I'm sick of spilling my drink all over the place.

I probably should sell just to help pay for this thing...but ehhhhhh seems like a lot of work

Edit: BTW DO NOT use CF or other abrasive filaments in the AMS. Its wears out the little feeder hole things.

Let me tell you about that K1 in case any of you are considering it.

    You'll notice I've said nothing...

I've got 3 benchies, and 3 failed prints from it since may 23rd.

The rest has been getting sent the wrong broken parts, and arguing with them that sending me parts that aren't what I asked for isn't helping.

This is the latest revision of the new hot end they sent with the extruder stepper that finally allows me to get up and running. Creality doesn't see this as a problem. I see exposed 48v power on the nozzle as a problem, especially when that nozzle makes repeated contact with a metal build plate.

I'm trying to get a refund, I've had enough of this...

    If you're thinking k1 / k1 max... I'd avoid.

So ordered friday, Saturday at noon, fedex delivered (ships from richmond warehouse). Did a couple PLA benchies with some old wet PLA, nowhere near the VFA issues.

In went the ABS because - backed up projects, it pretty much hasn't stopped printing since it arrived.

This ones kind of a torture test, no supports, generic abs profile (NIB gizmodorks ABS) Look at those unsupported overhangs!

Silent mode sucks but is silent, standard mode it's quieter than the K1, Sport modes my favorite, still quieter than K1 but 124% speed. I may try ludicrous on the next plate of parts.

And the AMS is taking up space so far, I was leaving it out of the mix for now to see baseline how it prints.

Sorry to hear about the Creality troubles, but I'm six(?) months in with the X1C and it still has never let me down so I think you'll be very happy with the P1S. I think I've had 3-4 failed prints, only due to using too small a brim with ABS.

I see no reason to upgrade from this but if they were to come out with a larger bed X1 I'd definitely start scrounging pennies.

Nice, looking good. My Ender 3V2 is getting a little long in the tooth but has working reasonably well for my personal use. But seeing all this it's almost time to look at upgrading soon.

Do any of you folks do printing for a fee?

The factory 8" speakers in my car need replacing and it's easier finding a 6.5" speaker that fits, so I might need a couple 8" to 6.5" brackets printed up. I found some STL files people have shared that should do the trick. Let me know how much you would charge.

Send me the STL. I'll print for free if it fits my machine.

Anyone wanna print six of this? Square are 1/2", so the part is 6x2.5". Any material, it's a stand to keep some electronic component up off a desk to allow airflow.
    Thickness 1/2" to 1".

Can pay in alcohol, chicken wings, or money if anyone still uses that.

I have a file for a small piece I need about a dozen of.

It's a stand for grips for my flight sim hotas gear, I have about 10-12 different grips that fit on the Thrusmaster/Virpil/VKB base units, and nobody, like nobody makes stands to put these things on. So I found some 3d printer plans for them, the stands fit the stick below, and are basically very very simple 3d printed versions of the stands in the second link.

I have no need for a 3d printer for just this one thing - any of you familiar with 3d printing, what would a reasonable cost be for a dozen of the stands in the file in the 3rd link?
