Thought I had the wife 100% convinced to buy a C43 Wagon this week but now that the snow is melting and causing a mess in the alley she isn't convinced it's high enough. We are having a real issue trying to replace an LR4.
Its easier to ask for forgiveness than permission... Just saying.

Do you think Tesla could be bought out? Their Supercharger network has value and could be an easy exit for Elon like PayPal.
Oh yea buyouts nearing 1 trillion dollars happen all the time. Very commonplace in M&A

    New Range Rover Time!

    GLC43 isn’t a terrible option since it’s basically a C43 with more clearance.

The discussion really spiraled out of control last night:
FROM: replace LR4 and M3, buy something that can fit 2 kids, scratch my sports car itch, park in eco, AWD (ie. C43 wagon is perfect, maybe RS5 SB)
TO: all of the above, but needs to be big enough for 4 adults to go on a road trip (ie. full size SUV)
We love the LR4 but don't love the Disco or Defender (thought Defender was going to be my perfect vehicle but a few small nit picks killed it for me). And now that we've tested a bunch of new cars the LR feels ancient. Starting to feel like another year of status quo which isn't the worst thing.

It's pretty dicey right now for sure - ours is paved so the summers are fine but it's this winter/spring period where there are 2 8" ruts with rivers flowing down the alley.

I’m having similar debates right now.

My shitty frozen rutted alley was a not insignificant reason for me moving last year

Also park in Eco is the way.

Not likely at its current valuation...

Still keeping an eye the Golf wagens and thinking maybe just going for the 2021 GTI since you can lease it.

I noticed the one I went to see at Norden drop to $23,XXX and sold (what I was looking to pay). Not sure why they wouldn't move on the price....

Southgate VW has 36 "new" ones (Sportwagen and Alltrack) in stock.

They don't look like they're eligible for VW financing. Did the dealer just buy a bunch hoping to sell them all with their financing (6%+)?

I don't understand how their advertisements are legal if you absolutely cannot purchase the vehicle for the advertised price. Super scummy. This is exactly what the price advertisement laws were rewritten to address - unclear, misleading pricing, and unfair dealer add-on fees, by requiring all-in pricing with the only added fee being the AMVIC fee ($7.95???) and GST.
    Same thing here:

Offer $1,000 for a cash sale then you can't pay cash??

I get a kick out of people who yell at the clouds about wanting wagons, but don’t actually drive the ones we have here.

Yup. Same issue with hot hatches and full size pickup trucks.

Would have been so good if they didn't have that gap in the taillights to the trunk hatch.
