Ya it really needs the 2.0l, with a tune the 1.8t puts down some good power. More than the gti does stock I believe. I needed something bigger than the golf r and wanted all wheel drive so the alltrack fits. But now I want a truck. First world problems.

Mary Swanson chance that it will come here. If they do bring it, they will sell every one of them.

I'd settle for a damned sportwagen. Any golf wagon would be awesome.

I'm looking at wagons in Spain - it's nice there are so many options in Europe.

VW Passat, Skoda Octavia, and SEAT Leon ST all appeal to us (we want something we can sleep in the back of on occasion) but the problem in Spain and Europe in general is the cost of petrol, emissions, and registering high HP vehicles really sucks the fun out of it. I like the 2.0 TDI engines but it seems they're going to start taxing diesels more so now I'm thinking the SEAT Leon ST FR 1.5 Tsi may better suit our needs.

It's cool, but we aren't going to see it until after the 15 year import restriction is passed.

The slightly extra clearance is a killer app for Calgary for sure.

I think a few years from now as all the large automakers really put their full force behind EV development, lots of them will destroy Tesla (in one way or another).

I have said for a long time, and still maintain that Tesla is a software company trying to make cars. I'm not trying to suggest the company will fail, but I think their battle against the major automakers will be very tough on them.

Taycan may or may not qualify as a "wagon" but it's a bit expensive to be considered a "mainstream family ANYTHING".
    2x my suggested price limit.

Why wouldn't you consider it a long roof? I don't disagree with your other points lol

Ah missed that it was a different car than the "regular" taycan. I don't keep up with that brand or anything in that price range. Does seem to be a wagon.

Do you think Tesla could be bought out? Their Supercharger network has value and could be an easy exit for Elon like PayPal.

Thought I had the wife 100% convinced to buy a C43 Wagon this week but now that the snow is melting and causing a mess in the alley she isn't convinced it's high enough. We are having a real issue trying to replace an LR4.
