OP should have a Volvo. Clearly the answer.
Guess the Mercedes pair should be in this discussion. C-class start at $48k and E-class at $76k for the wagon variants. That E-class is so nice. So very nice.

Went to check out what I thought was a nice 2018 Golf Alltrack at Norden today.
Well... first it wasn't the one that was on their website. It was one they had listed a 2017 with aftermarket wheels.
Then the sales guy said they don't do cash sales only finance for used and they wanted like 5% or higher (I think a read a thread that Go auto started doing that. Can't recall).
I asked if they would move on the price if I was forced to finance it but since it was already "on sale" (which made closer to market price) the price was firm.
Seems like they'd rather double dip on used cars and have them sitting around for ever than sell them...
Total different experience then when I bought my Passat from them last time. :/

I don't understand how their advertisements are legal if you absolutely cannot purchase the vehicle for the advertised price. Super scummy. This is exactly what the price advertisement laws were rewritten to address - unclear, misleading pricing, and unfair dealer add-on fees, by requiring all-in pricing with the only added fee being the AMVIC fee ($7.95???) and GST.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. I really, really had my heart set on a Sportwagen back in 2015 - It checked all the boxes: Wagoon for hoon, row my own gears and I really liked the interior with the comfort/highline options, but after a test drive, those man those things are not very peppy, IMHO. I was hoping they would announce something better in the All-track, but they put the same damn engine in it. Glad I jumped on the TLX deal back then.

I was behind a new Volvo V60 and that thing was really nice and they start at mid 50k which isnt that bad for a volvo wagon. Are volvos decent cars?
Thats standard operating procedure for most vehicle ads, theres always some type of hidden cost. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I was pretty interested in a Sportwagon as well but when my gf and I went to see one neither of us felt overly excited. Didn’t even take it for a drive. Ended up with a 335d instead which is ok, not sure how many times a year the wagon would be an actual benefit over the sedan.

Wanted the sportswagen, went in to make a deal, the GTI ended up being a better lease thanks to rates/residuals.
Also, they didn't have the forest green, and it was going to be a 3 month wait, as it would be an order.
I wish I could've gotten a Sportswagen with GTI engine.

The sportwagen is pretty enticing, but yes they make it difficult.
