I am just doing my part to try to manifest it, type it into existence if you will. With the RS6 finally here anything is possible! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
If only they make an M5 Wagon.... I'd put down a deposit now.
They'll probably call it a Gran Coupe Activity Estate or something.

I started looking at these because of this tread! I've always liked wagons! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Can't find any for $20k used with the Comfortline (would prefer the Highline).
Norden has new ones for $6k off for cash purchase which seems ok??
Too much for a Golf? haha I really like the DSG and I don't think I'd like another car that doesn't have one!
Was thinking of selling of my 2010 Passat 2.0T while it still has some value...
Thoughts?

The used market for the sportwagen has gone up quite a bit since born2workoncars posted. Market value for ~40,000-km is now at about 22-24K. In the summer, a bunch of fleet returns pulled the value down below $20K with under ~20,000-km but it came up sharply after they sold and we got closer to winter. There are a couple older ones that buck this trend though if you are ok with only a year of warranty, or no warranty. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Also, true manuals are much more rare on the market right now. I think between about 65 for sale in AB right now, 2 are manual.
New inventory is almost nil right now until the 2021s get here (whenever that will be with manufacturing and shipping delays due to covid).
EDIT: just read Canada won't be getting the new Variant (sportwagen/alltrack replacement). Get it while you can!

Ya, the sales guy called me today and they only have 1 black left (they sold like 6 since I was there on Monday... ). I was going to go on Saturday with my wife. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
We liked the white one a lot better so I'm going to keep an eye out on the used market I guess.
Also since we are still WFH we drive even less than the small amount that we usual do so my wife didn't want to spend money on a new car.
I hope they bring back the sportwagen after a couple of years. It would sell like hot cakes!

I got the 2019 alltrack exceline back in march it's been great, quite slow as expected but everything else is fine. tons of options for more power though.
I just wish there was a little more back seat space, would have been a good option but with the kid still in a backwards facing seat for a while its a no go.
Doesn't take much to make them fast! IMO Comfortline 4motion sportwagen is the best package. Those panoramic moonroofs are nothing but problems, and all the other driving aids are just more electronics that will fail. Alignment on a VW with active cruise control is 3.5Hrs. Screw that! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Love the panoramic roof. I had the recall done so hopefully it’s good. I use adaptive cruise and lane assist all the time, it’s much better than the previous version I had in my 16 golf r.
Is38 would be great, I figure it’s roughly 10k to get done. I’m talking just a tune for $500-1000, gets you a decent bump in power.
I’ve owned vw or Audi products since 2007 and have only had 2 high pressure fuel pumps go, 1 on my 2007 gti and 1 just a month ago on my 2007 rs4.

Are the moonroofs fixed now after the recall? That scares me a lot. Nothing like having a leaking roof on anything...
There's an 2018 Alltacks (base) that's white with the white interior that I'm interested in but I think they want too much and it's already @ 75K so I'm a little scared if something happens to the moonroof if I bought it (if they were reasonable with the price).
When did 4 years or 80,000km become a good car warranty?? It's sucks that they were offering 6 years in the US but have gone back to 5 years going forward.
Does VW have extended warranties or are they only 3rd party?
My wife said the same thing (about the back seat space), then I reminded her that we don't have kids so it's not a problem!!!This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Just get an Allroad A4 if you need a little more space.

Wagons are pretty much a thing of the past. IMHO Volvo makes the best wagons, but Audi is a close second for me.

I'm pretty sure that's still the best warranty in Canada with exception of Kia/Hyundai/Mitsubishi. Everyone else is 3 years/60k.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
