No kidding, he must have gone downhill pretty quick.

Do you have a link to the atlantic article by chance?
I like how you quoted me twice.

^ was drunk either first or second time around.

But from what the Atlantic read, it appears things WERE rosy for a while, but then went to shit as his closest people started leaving his ass to fend for himself.

The ethics commissioner has come back with his report stating the Trudeau government did in fact violate ethics rules... Hopefully this has the play it warrants coming into election season!

    was ANYONE surprised?

I hope you are right. Scheer better be all over this like a fat kid on a smartie and just flat out start calling JT a criminal in the HOC, and beg for JT to file a lawsuit for slander.

You know it's pretty bad when the ethics commission that Trudeau essentially controls, still couldn't clear him of any wrong doing.

Trudeau is ramping up the attack campaign on guns, promises to make it an election issue. With recent events in Toronto i imagine he is just trying to bury this recent finding. But no, no one should be surprised on this outcome

I'm not surprised that he violated ethics rules, but I am surprised his own guy's report stated it. I figured he would have found a way to protect his boss and absolve of him of all responsibility and it would go away quietly.

Whats funny is when you read the CBC article versus other news sources like Global. CBC seems to have the bare minimum amount of information and essentially reports it so they aren't missing anything, then Global goes full hog into it.

If CBC is reporting on it, then it must be even worse than thought.

Trudeau isn't his boss. He works for parliament, not for the government. He keeps the position regardless of what happens in the election or who is in government and serves until his appointment time runs out.

Wouldn't be a useful Ethics Commissioner if it wasn't set up that way.

But I'm a feminist! I mean, I did use my power to try influencing this woman, who was probably just confused about the situation and interpretted it differently...but...

Meh, do you think anything will actually come out of this? Nah. 30% of Canadians will just carry on supporting him & his crew like nothing happened.

So what are the consequences for this? Nothing I assume? Maybe some ammo for the conservatives and a topic Trudeau gets to pivot away from so the eastern Goldfish don't get too confused?
