What is the cost of 'upper end cleaning'?
Ultracrepidarian
your wife probably says worse when you're not around also
It was 325 a month for a team to do a 2 cleans a month off the top of my head? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
It certainly would have been cheaper to have some Filipino lady do it cash under the table like many suggested I do.
Maybe I’m just crazy with the whole not liking people in my home thing.

I suppose it depends on the size of the home, but that doesn't really sound very expensive. And if they kept breaking things, not very "upper end" either... Sounds like you just had shitty cleaners. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I'm on the other side of the spectrum - I love having people in my house (if it means my wife and I don't have to do the shit I don't want to do).
Like restaurants, switch your cleaners up. Complacency doesn't set in.

Shit, there's only 49 users here, I doubt we'll even break 100
Seemed pretty expensive to me...

Do you not think corporate devices aren't monitored?
My old american owned company had to build a file on you before they could snoop and when they did they could only see things like file folders or generalized titles. Not specific texts. At least thats what the IT guy told me after he got laid off haha. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
We weren't big time IP/software/company secrets type place though.
I do all the house renos/repairs, wash the dishes, and vacuuming, clean cat crap and mostly pay for everything, wife does all the cooking and clothes washing. No kids. I can't cook and hate laundry so this arrangement works fine. She never asked but we are close to 11 years married now and I never wanted any conflict so have been helping out since the beginning. I feel bad if I am doing anything when she is busy with house stuff, feel like I should be helping.
May be I should have been clear of this. Most of the companies have steps in place to monitor activities but no one is sitting there listening or watching you unless they have reason to. That is also as lasimmon said you have get certain level of approvals before they can do that in order to build a case against you. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Now what I was referring to most of the employees at one point or the other say things which is not in favor of the employer. That not necessarily paints a accurate picture how the employee feels about the employer.
Wife basically does the cooking and grocery shopping (it’s just us), she does the laundry and I try to help her clean. I pay all bills while she’s in school, when she graduates and starts working, we plan to switch roles, with me taking care of the house and raising the kids (if they are in the cards) while she brings home the bacon. Never thought I would say any of that, but over the years of planning, I’m into it.

I take the kids to school four days a week and usually do bath time and story time. They eat dinner before I get home so I can't help with that but I do help with dishes, especially for bigger meals with guests when I usually do all the dishes by myself. I usually do breakfast every morning and on weekends I do an early breakfast of cereal and then cook a later breakfast (my wife sleeps in almost every weekend and I get to sleep in maybe one day every month or two...) I help fold laundry but I don't often run it. I don't often do much cleaning outside of the kitchen but I do all the shoveling and repairs around the house other than gardening. When the kids are sick I usually deal with the barf/laundry and my wife deals with the kids.
Caveat to this is I haven't been home in three weeks so I am currently doing nothing to help out.

I mean like, keeping an option open to keep working. I love my kids, but that shit is hard.
True story. Taking care of kids 24/7 is harder than any paid work. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I have more than 40 employees and I find it way easier to deal with them than my 4 kids... Though, my employees (mostly) act like adults and I fully expect things to be easier with my kids when they're a little bit older (and all in school full day, where someone else takes care of them )This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member.
