Just get TSA Pre (included with Nexus) and never take the laptop out in the US. T Pass won’t work in Canada anyways, they make you take it out regardless. Even more anal in Europe, they make you take all electronics out including batteries. Pain in the ass.

I got an Incase for when I travel. If you appreciate aesthetics, give them a peek. I carry my work 14" Laptop, iPad Pro, few changes of clothes, and other crap easily.

I travel to the US twice a month so I decided to change from a laptop bag to a backpack. I just find it is easier to keep organised and easier to carry depending on the amount of other luggage I'm carrying. I got one of these "security packpacks similar to this one.
