Can you renew car registration without registration papers?

I need to renew my car registration but I don't have my second car's registration on me. Can I still get it done at the registry?

I have renewed mine without the registration in hand, just drivers license and proof of insurance.

Just insurance (pink ticket) and license. I was able to change the address on my registration without my insurance but I don't know about renewing.

You can do it. Unfortunately, this is an advantage to a lot of Kijiji curb sellers (I've witnessed a lot) that they don't bother registering and insuring the vehicle for sale and slap their own license plate on it.

Depends. If the vehicle is in your name or a joint name (ie: wife and you), no you don't require the registration - just insurance and drivers licence. If it is in someone elses name, you need the registration and insurance or, authorization letter and insurance.
