    Default Leatherwork as a Hobby

    Anyone on here into leatherwork?

It's something I'm just getting into. I'd love to see some work and get some tips for starting out from those with more experience.

I find sturdy leather belts can be repurposed into a variety of interesting uses. Fun with a friend (or four!)

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

At a bike meet this year, I met this guy who does leather work for various bikes. Took pics of some of his work, it was absolutely amazing. If you wanted his number, I have it. (Took it down since I wanted him to do my bike seats).

Wow - making shoes is very impressive! Do you sell them as part of a business?

I'm more interested in just making wallets, passport holders, belts, and maybe some simple bags.

Nice sheaths! Did you form them around the knife or did you make a wood blank or something?

Just used the knives themselves as a template and molded it after it was done...
