Default AT+T roaming - full bars (with LTE) but calls not coming through.

I'm in Arizona, on my Rogers roam-like-at-home. I've got full bars, and LTE data. But it takes ages for my calls back to canada to connect through. Half the time they don't. And people have been telling me all day that my phone is going straight to VM.

    Any ideas?

Should I change to Verizon or Sprint towers? They have lower bars.

Should I change my signal somehow (move to a different band or something?)

Are your data speeds ok ? (ie getting LTE speeds with speedtest for eg.)

Download the speedtest.net app and see what speeds you're getting.

Assuming this is an Iphone I would try to Disable Enhanced LTE or Voice over LTE.

    Tap Settings
    Cellular
    Cellular Data Options
    Enable LTE
    Select DATA ONLY

I'm on a Pixel3. but I found the setting and disabled it. I wonder if that's the problem. Quick google seems to be that Pixels and this setting on AT+T do not like each other.

Disable LTE entirely - WCDMA or GSM

I actually switched to T-mobile and it seems to be working better. Maybe AT+T on the 3g network would be better.
