Alaska Airlines' barred from overseas flights due to a pressurization fault (interestingengineering.com)

Some interesting issues popping up. The plane was 2 months old so still has to be a problem from Boeing but Alaska seems to have ignored issues on this specific plane.
That likely would have nothing to do with the door. It would be deafeningly loud in those seats if there was an air leak around it, let alone enough to set off warning signals.

They're certainly big, but I don't know if they are the BEST I've tasted.

United has found loose bolts/screws in their MAX9 aircraft plug doors.

Self inspection is doing a lot of good I see.

2 months old, going to assume they're probably into a couple oilchanges, not exactly gut the interior and inspect everything stage of ownership

They also found a couple phones in mint working condition. 16,000 foot drop cellphone, must be a record.

Luck of the draw on landing really. I dropped mine 9 stories on grass once and only had grass stain which wiped off.

Terminal velocity on a phone is likely reached within the first 50 feet, so past that doesn't matter.

Pffftt! Does your vortex not even shed, Bro?
We used to have this mega mega Chinese Prof sub for us and he must've said "Boundary Raya Sickness" 888x. Just thinking about my friend doing a flawless impression of him makes me LoL even today. Fuck, it was so funny. He would draw pictures in class of a dude bent over and just spraying blowies everywhere with a look of agony and the Boundary Raya Sickness caption.
And, the fucker did better in the class than I did! Yep, Russell Peters beat me in Heat Transfer.

I didn't realize how much I learned in engineering school until years later when I figured out my coworkers couldn't explain most of the concepts of flow, pressure or heat. One thing I didn't learn at any point, the actual calculations. Fuck that, calculus is for Asians.

Is this to be covered in flight interruption or flight cancellation insurance?

    Or united flight 811.
That was Aloha airlines' incident. The VP of Aloha at that time was my father's best friend, Craig Lam. The flight attendant who died in that incident was a friend of the Lam family (we didn't know her). That aircraft was very, very fortunate to make it to the ground.

Edit - oops, saw Benyl posted this, I hadn't read down that far when I responded. We used to ski every year at Whitefish, and one year my father stopped on the hill to help a man and his 2 daughters (the man had wiped out, badly). They became fast friends after that, our families did, met 2x a year, once in Honolulu, once at Whitefish/Montana. Used to get helo rides for free all over Hawaii, I have pics of us hovering in an MD500 over the lava flows that happened in '91/92. Anyhow, that incident was obviously very hard on a small airline, and Aloha ended up merging with Hawaiian airlines about a decade later.

I dont really think that's huge news tbh. Boeing still has a backlog of over 6000 units. 25 units here and there wont break the bank. Plus those are relatively small orders from legacy carriers

From a comfort or customer viewpoint, does any of this matter?
I'm sire I liked the A320 last time I was in one, and the new 737 interiors are nice, but I have no strong opinions either way.

Not really. Most people only care about seat pitch (seat room), and the customer orders whatever pitch they want.
