Can I keep my shares but close my account?

Okay so I have this Questrade account, and all I have are 500 shares that I'm not playing with, they're just sitting there and I have no desire to buy or sell or anything, just wanna hang onto these.

Now Questrade sent out an email saying that starting April 1 they are charging a "quarterly inactivity fee" of $24.95 per month on inactive accounts under $5000. Like I don't have 5k to gamble with anytime soon here and I want to keep my shares. Is there any way to transfer them to a different platform and close down this Questrade bullshit?

You can transfer them wherever you want, and it sounds like you want what is called an "in kind" transfer which keeps your investments as-is rather than converting to cash first. Expect a transfer fee.
