Just finished the post race, and the lack Ted's Notebook leaves a hole for me. Anyone else?
Karun doesn't add anything beyond what Di Resta and Davison, so I'm really hating this change.
Is there a reason behind the removal of Ted? Must have missed it

Back on topic though, Man did that Honda engine surprise me. I wonder what would have happened if Max hadnt had that little adventure at turn 1 to catch up to Lewis.

Good show for Bottas, but I feel like its a one or a two time sort of thing. There is no way toto and lauda will allow it to happen again. Looking from the teams body language, even the celebration by toto, they wont sideline the king. They will never give Lewis 2nd kick at strategy again. If they wanted to let Lewis take 1st they would have pitted Bottas 1st. It felt a bit like a strategic win, more than a pure pace win.
    .
Bottas is out this year if he keeps his nice guy hat on. He is not going to play that game anymore. Fuck team orders (in his mind).

Yeah, I think he has to up his game. He does appear to be a cool headed driver. It will be interesting how that plays out over different tracks and different race scenarios.
Goomba on the other hand seems to constantly blame the car when things just don't go his way. If Bottas is pushing this season, im looking foward to see how this plays out on the European tracks.

    What else Lewis can say?
Car had rear grip issues due to a damaged floor.

Lewis did have that floor damage that nobody knew about, but mainly that early pit screwed him over just like it did Vettel.

I agree he did have a damaged floor. What im trying to get at is when things don't go his way, he bitches a lot rather than put his head down and drive.

You do know that the radio is mostly for the garage right and not for your entertainment?
His "complaints" were feedback on the car while he's driving it to give engineers more information on how the damage is impacting the car.

Lol. He just put his head down and drove.
As chongkee mentioned his radio messages are for the team so that they can figure out / fix whatever is going wrong.

Were going to see things like Bottas disobeying pit orders for new tires ... if he feels the strategy is undermining him.

Speaking of Canada, is anyone else going to F1 Montreal? This being Beyond, there has to be quite a few members here going.

It was on my radar, but I don't think it's going to happen this year after all.

I've watched Indy racing in person, in Vancouver. I lasted about 1 hour before I was done. Its a TV sport IMO (just like golf).

Seeing cars blow by isnt really fun after a while - although I was able to notice one car was definitely faster in that section than all the others - and ended up winning the race.

Yup we were all gonna go, but it's coming out to close to $1,800 a person now after flight / hotels / tickets for all days/ taxi / food etc. which is meh.. Putting the $$ towards a bike instead and managed to get the Shaw app from my parents on my PC to stream Chromecast to my TV so I can watch
