No McJesus, he was using Religion as a catalyst to spread further hate and dissent among racists and, wait for it........wait for it.........wait for it.......other religious fanatics who believe their "God" is the only real/true one.
I haven't read everything on the incident but the few articles I did read said that he was anti-Muslim and anti-immigration. Since the shooter's views and motivation weren't based on his religious views, that makes your statement an implicit support of what he did.

Religion is a bad thing, probably the worst thing in human history.
And you base this on what, exactly?

Religion isn't cancer. It's a symptom. The real cancer is a combination of blind devotion to ideology, and thought processes that prevent people from critically examining their beliefs/circumstances.
There are religious and irreligious with "blind devotion to ideology, and thought processes that prevent people from critically examining their beliefs/circumstances," which is what you may have been saying. This would definitely be applicable to the shooter who, by all accounts, wasn't religious.

Religion just works as a convenient way to label people.
Of course. All labels applied to people are done so for the sake of convenience.

Lets be honest here, i bet more people than we think were low key happy that muslims died due to the how media portrays muslims as terrorists and the enemy. If this type of incident happened to in America, France, England etc and non muslims died then you'd here alot more about the hero who helped distract the shooter.

    Survey says - EEEEEHHHH.

You obviously don't even remember, if you even knew in the first place, which invalidates your own point- Sutherland Church shooting in Texas, it was only a couple years ago. Shooter used an AR15 and shot 47 people, and was engaged in a gun fight by a local civilian, Stephen Willeford, who took his own AR15 out and went toe to toe with the gunman, put 2 or 3 rounds into him, pursued him, and the nut died due to those wounds. So, despite what you're trying to say, it HAS happened in America, more than once, and there were "heroes" who tried to do something about stopping it too. You probably don't even remember that someone used a rifle to stop a nut with a rifle, probably never saw him interviewed. You know why - because non of the major news networks like CNN, MSNBC, NYP, etc, wanted to even talk to the "hero" who intervened and stopped the situation from becoming even worse. So no, you would NOT necessarily hear a lot more about it, because you didn't when it happened a couple years ago (and prior to tat) - not even when it happens to non Muslim people in America. So please, don't play the religion card here, as the media has ignored people of all stripes and religions when it comes to their own agendas...

You are correct about one thing, the Muslims who fought back against the nut in NZ ARE heroes, and should be treated as such IMO, but don't try and say they aren't getting the same recognition as an American would get in similar circumstance, because that already happened, but the coverage the hero got in that incident from the major networks/etc was very limited.
