Air Canada Baggage Delay

My moms flight was delayed on her vacation and they had to re route her flights last min due to a plane issues. Her luggage has been delayed for 2 days now and although she is staying with family she can get buy but its a hassle cause her medication and what not is in there.

Is there any recourse for the hassle that my mother can get from Air Canada?

The things she needs to buy can be reimbursed. Not sure about medication.

If she's still in Canada, many pharmacists will prescribe small amounts of medication for situations like this without an appointment.
