Look at the map of Edmonton. Government employees aren’t voting for UCP. Jason dgaf.

    Orange flush.
ALL of edmonton is orange right now, what in the f&$k?

I would love to see the demographics of this, especially the north end where all the oil patch folk live. It makes zero sense.

Please let the business keep growing so I can get the hell out of here.

    DONE SON, UCP WINS MAJORITY!

Ucp is winning in the edmonton riding where the ndp told people to vote like their white... the ndp candidate was campaigning against a black guy.

And for the record the Alberta party is playing spoiler in Edmonton. No Alberta party and there would be ucp winning in a few more Edmonton ridings.

Some might find this interesting, Beyond's Weapon_R won his seat for the UCP for Calgary-Cross riding already. Following his dad's footsteps.

They're more pragmatic than that. A UCP win being followed by higher unemployment isn't the optics they need. It's also something that isn't easy to do. Holding spending and growing the economy is their ticket to getting out of the hole, and whittling down the numbers when it won't affect unemployment numbers would be their path.

I think people hoping for sweeping operational cuts will be disappointed. Government employees making money is still Albertans with jobs, and that's easy to swallow when you have a few years where you can blame that spending on somebody else.

In fairness to Kenney, he has lost a noticeable amount of weight in the past year or so.

That’s what I was worried about going into this, I think the split could have been much worse. Interesting though that ndp would still get they popular vote in Edmonton even if all AP votes went to ucp

Good riddance. Not even those cute bow ties could save Mandell. Should've done socks like Trudeau.

    Not just any beyonder. Moderator.

Also, not the first beyonder in politics.

Lol. I really don't support conservative social policy and this may be a noticeable step back for minority groups of many kinds. I think many people put equality and rights aside a bit in favour of a chance to bolster the economy. Kinda a shame, but not at all unexpected. Not sure we could survive another term under Notley.
