    Profit.
Well, why would we want to talk about anything important, like the UCP primaries (or whatever we call it) election fraud?

And even that is pretty far off topic, because the people who care most about this don't seem to be UCP voters anyway.

Did you know AHS employs 120,000 people in Alberta? About 1 in 30 citizen's are paid by AHS. I was told this proudly by a current manager there, and he didn't notice the look of disgust on this taxpayer's face.
a co worker told me he voted for the ndp today. As I looked at him in disgust I asked why. He said the reason he voted ndp was because Kenney would be removing unions from being a thing.

Where the hell did he read this as a fact?? LOL

One thing I hope for, regardless of who gets elected, is revamping our Alberta health cards, either tied to drivers licenses or making them expire. It’s BS that people from other provinces can get health cards without living here or still keep them after they’ve moved away

My wife (property manager) had a meeting with AHS once as her company was working with them on renovating some office space. Her team expected 2-3 people from AHS to discuss some plans. Nearly 25 people showed up including a guy who's main role was to manage plants/trees

It was a total shit show and really opened her eyes to all the $$ that AHS wastes.

120,000 people who will probably vote for the speNDP to ensure their paycheques flowing.

The size of government in Alberta is ridiculous now and the unfortunate thing is that it ends up being a lot of bought votes for the most fiscally irresponsible party.

I still voted WR, because I came from an NDP province. Danielle Smith's knife in my back sure did hurt. Glad she paid her price.
I as well. I think it was just the crusty old timer staunch conservatives that consider floor crossing to be the most unforgiveable act in politics. No way I would vote for a party that directly opposes my views and stands to decrease my quality of life, just because of a floor crossing.

Do you think the PC's would've been in power for so long if they raised taxes or cut spending to save for a rainy day? Let's take a look at Health Care, our biggest expenditure. We're running a huge deficit. PC's said we need to save our asses and cut health care costs in middle management and raise fees. That was literally the end right there. NDP promised to reverse it. Imagine if the PC's said cut spending and raise taxes in the good times. They would've been long gone.

So you're right, Albertan's didn't specifically demand that from our government, but it was implied because it would've been impossible to campaign on cuts, more efficient spending, more revenue through taxation when we're wiping our asses with 100's. We're entitled and short sighted, that's why NDP was voted in. Short term gains, long term pains.
I would have to disagree with a lot of this. Albertans seem willing to accept that times are tough and we need to tighten our belt once and awhile. No bigger cuts happened in this Province than under Klein, and he was loved. That shows that Albertans are more than willing to accept spending cuts. The PC's problem was that Redford cunt being so fiscally irresponsible and such a typical shady money grubbing politician. Alberta is notoriously Conservative, which is synonymous with lower spending and exactly what people WANT to see a campaign ran on. If it wasn't for Redford, it is pretty likely the PC's would still be the dominant party today and we never would've had to endure this NDP debacle at all. One thing Albertans won't stand for, is increased taxation for unnecessary spending. The main issue I'm seeing with your assessment of the situation, is that you're trying to link fiscal responsibility with increased taxation because they achieve the same thing, which is more useable government revenue. But those two things are not remotely the same in any way.

Danielle Smith's interview with Vivian Krause, exposes that ProgressAlberta via LeadNow via Tides Foundation is helping campaign for Rachel Notley.

I got a spam fro Arthritis Society on election. While not out right helping, only NDP and Liberal responded to the their request for platform/commitment and posted on their site.

The problem is, dirty political games are now normalize. We are now voting for leaders instead of your representative. So crime doesn't matter. How you get there doesn't matter. As long as my guy wins.

should be interesting with how long the counts will take thanks to so many advanced voters this year. We may not know the results for days if the number of advance voters continues.

We already surpassed the number of advanced voters from last election. Will 30 or 40% of total voters vote in the advanced polls??

My old friend Cam Gardner is making some waves! Very proud of him, a lifelong conservative voter, running for the NDP.

I love this quote. Nails the situation.

“If Rachel Notley was a completely different person with completely different policies people might like her”

    Sounds about right.

Wait.. from the last four years? What the hell Is wrong with people!

Of all the people to make light of mental health issues, there is a special kind of irony with it coming from you.

    Special with a capital R.
