Spirit's not great and Summit has (at least used to) a major piece near the smoke box that rusts. Genesis the sweet spot.
Napoleon is good and better value in my opinion.

This is what I have, except mines 7 years old and doesn’t have the light up burner knobs.

I also have one of these at the lake, same thing but a touch more square footage for entertainment https://www.napoleon.com/en/ca/barbe...sib-p665rsibnk

Both awesome grills. But not sure bench racing is going to solve much here lol

You know what they say about guys with small bbqs
That's actually pretty damn nice and while I bet "mine's better" I don't think it's anywhere near $1,300 better.

@ExtraSlow . Wanna buy my Genesis II LX S-240? Almost 2 years old. Used maybe 10-15 times and covered year round.

So what’s the advantage of these $2k+ bbq’s vs this at $300:

    https://www.homedepot.ca/product/bro...ner/1001034735

I don’t think I’ve spent more than $500 on a bbq, especially now I only use it for a final sear out of the sous vide.

In my opinion, the Spirit is too "cheap" or basic of a BBQ to justify paying for the Weber name, if that makes sense. I'd buy a higher end one from an off-brand.
I base this on not really liking the lower series from Broil King (can't recall their names).
I know a guy who has a spirit and he's really happy with the quality. He's had it for several years. What drives up the price on a lot of grills are "features" that nobody needs or uses. I need know my use-case really well, and I know my current 2burner is plenty big even for when I have family over (which is almost never, I hate people).

I get that a big grill looks great, but when you are cooking 4 hamburgers, it's a real waste. Takes longer to heat up, uses more propane for same heat, take up more of my tiny backyard. Nah fam, I'm good.

Disappointed that your bbq doesn’t have matching knobs to your toaster

You could probably grill a steak in that toaster.

That's good that a Spirit is still decent.
I also hate other humans and a small BBQ is awesome. My S470 isn't really very big, but their S670 is "put another screw pile under the deck" fucking enormous.

So my BBQ that I got from Superstore about 11-12 years ago is on it's last legs. It's a massive 5 burner with rotisserie that I've never used, and a side grill and burner that's been used only a few times during that time. Paid under $500 on sale.

Looking at something smaller like a 3 burner. What can I get for $500-600 and will still have replacement parts down the line if stuff needs to be replaced? Family of 5(2 adults and 3 tween girls).

I believe the rule of thumb is one burner per person and an expensive bbq makes the best steaks. Therefore your only correct choice is this: https://barbecuesgalore.ca/collectio...on-natural-gas

Please remind me of the brand Superstore carries as I used to have one forever ago and I want to buy one for cabin life. It was just like you said - cheap, reasonable and lasted great.

Which charcoal grill do you all recommend? The easier to use the better.

Weber stocks parts for all their old style BBQ's so that would be my vote.

The Genesis 3 burner is $900 regular price but if you can wait it out (and constantly check out Home Depot) they go on sale quite often in the $750 range. And floor models get blown out later in the summer.

We are getting a gas line installed so we can finally use NG vs LP.

Any disadvantage to just getting a conversion kit off amazon from LP to NG vs just getting a new NG BBQ?

    Currently using a 6yo Baron 590
