I could see the convenience for sure, nothing worse than running out of propane mid cook. I was thinking the taste of the meat cooked with NG was better too. Had i known there was already a gas line set up i wouldve got the NG version but too late. I got it friday and used it that weekend.

Not true. LP carries more BTU's and will burn hotter.

and I did not have the only say in the matter (most people just want it done ASAP and don't care about quality).

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

The orifices are usually sized accordingly to provide the same btus between LP and NG variants of the same grill

A half in NG line will provide you with more BTU’s than you could ever know what to do with.

Just need a quality set of burners to utilize it.

Do you have a charcoal pipeline to your house?

Good point. I was looking at the Napoleon charcoal tray to put in a larger ng grill. Sounds like it's a bad idea...

A charcoal bbq sounds an awful lot like a fire pit to me

I was thinking more of a fire table. You can poop in a fire pit but can you poop on a fire table?

Can a natural gas grill handle more gas volume to level the energy discrepancy? I though to convert lp to ng you had to drill out the fuel ports so that sorta lines up.

    Edit.. covered above as well.

I converted a Broil King many years ago, it always seemed to be way cooler than it was with LP. My new place would be pretty easy to run a line, but I'm fine with rotating 2 tanks. As long as I remember to fill the empty one BEFORE a big family dinner.

the biography on the sales people are there. The single moms no longer there anymore.
Is this the middle aged equivalent of browsing the bra section in a Sears catalog?

No gst on those weber spirits at superstore either. I used $40 in points and I'm out the door on the 210 model for $358. I am totally happy.

Is the reason why you went with the 210 vs 310 mainly space?
I am thinking of the same BBQs but debating. I'm concerned with only 2 burners you have less options on temp control.

It's a pretty good price. Buy now think later. More burners = more horsepower.

I'll give you my reference number and cost has gone up to $88.40 (+ shipping) for the control assembly.
