Are you approximately 40, approximately white and have approximately some cash?
Then, likely no sale. You need to embrace your struggle.
    It real.
They complain that there are no sales because they sort by "Price - Highest to Lowest" and never go past the first page.

So what’s the advantage of these $2k+ bbq’s vs this at $300:

    https://www.homedepot.ca/product/bro...ner/1001034735

I don’t think I’ve spent more than $500 on a bbq, especially now I only use it for a final sear out of the sous vide.
It's simple economics, Son. I don't understand it, at all - but, God, I love it!

    Summary:
    Spirit = poor
Genesis = poor but with more debt tolerance
Summit = Double meat, double cheese, fuckin Rain Maker!

    LoL RoFL!!!
    Love you guys.

I noticed that BBQ galore doesn't carry the Summit on their website. Wonder what happened. I found the steel on the Summit to be a bit heavier than the Prestige with my butt dyno.

I clearly need to stick to the spirit lineup. Those summit grills are worth about as much as my car.

Funny enough, thats the same BBQ I am looking to replace minus the side burner. It would be $300-$400 for all the parts, so I figure Im better off spending a bit more and get everything new.

Man, I just don't get the $2-3000 BBQ's. I have a 8 year old Weber Spirit (3 burner) and never really thought to myself that I need more grilling space or more BTU's. How many steaks and burgers are you guys making at a time? I've been eyeing up the change from propane to NG, but it doesn't seem worth it to spend 1000 bucks for a new BBQ.

Anyone done the conversion on an older Weber? Do you need anything other than the regulator hose and orifices?

If you guys are okay with waiting for deals, I got this from costco for $499.97 clearance last year. https://www.costco.ca/napoleon-rogue...100470580.html

Got it for $699.99 at first then price matched the $499.97 clearance price. Great deal and comes with the napoleon branded cover too.

I wish! Thats not my grill or yard. I'm far too lazy to rebuild a BBQ from scratch.

We have one like in that red (well more like maroon) and yeah can still get everything for them. Did a light rebuild of the mechanicals as cosmetically it isn’t too bad, but that thing still grills great, damn near 30yrs later

Finally bit the bullet and got a new BBQ this past weekend, BroilKing Baron 420 Pro. Ended up getting ~18% off through a small shop in Cardston Ab, which wasnt too far out of the way since I was heading to Lethbridge anyways. Finished building it yesterday, hoping to fire it up this week.

Nice choice. I've had mine for just over 5 years now and no issues at all - igniter still works perfect, heats up pretty quick, holds heat well, and cast iron grates are still in great shape with almost 0 maintenance. Broil Kings are great value for the money based on my experience.

The Broil King covers on the other hand though, don't hold up at all. I had one handle go about 2 years in, and the other handle just went on me last week. Would recommend just getting a cheaper cover instead of paying the premium for the brand name one.

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

What the heck have you done to your cover? We got our broil king (and matching cover) in 2016, and the cover still looks like the day we got it.

Absolutely nothing out of the ordinary. At my old place it was directly in the sun for most of the day and also would have faced the brunt of all rain/snow/hail so maybe that did it in. In my new place it's against the house and not facing the elements so i think it would last a bit longer if i get a new one today.

Shop is Cheif Mountain Gas Co-Op.
    https://www.cmgas.com/

They had an ad on facebook saying 20% off all Broil King, their prices must have been a bit higher than others as it worked out to 16% off. Mine is the 'Pro' version with upgraded stainless steel grills, came to $680 plus tax. Same one at BBQ Galore is $799. I bought a cover on Amazon for $40, as the BK ones were $90.
