The generic covers that Rona used to sell were OMC and OMC = Broil King. I had their $20-$30 cover last a decade. I'd still have it if a roofer hadn't damaged it from shingles being tossed off the roof.

I think I am going to join the Napoleon club because of the charcoal tray. Still teetering between that and the Everdures.

BK covers are noticeably better quality than the cheaper ones, they were the only ones even remotely close in terms of quality to my Ducane cover that was finally hailed to death. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Good to hear! Not sure I would have driven that far if I wasnt already going to Lethbridge.. but 16-20% can add up quickly on the larger BBQs.
The $20 cover at costco is such high quality. So far so good.
Have a Broil King S440 and been looking online for a LP to NG conversion kit with no luck. I'm hoping to go to BBQ GALORE tomorrow and see..
Anyone else have ideas on where I can find one? I'm guessing it has to be BK specific ?
Update: went to BBQ galore and they said it will be ~$200 and they can't order until mid July. That seems expensive for a conversion on a 7yo BBQ. Wonder if it's better off just try to sell it and get a new one.

Who says cast iron is high maintenence? 14 year old cast iron grates, didn't oil today or put oil on the chicken, and the chicken doesn't stick.

That is what they quoted me on a 2 year old Weber Genesis a while back when I wanted to switch from propane to ng.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Which S440 do you have? Baron? Regal? This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I have a Baron S440 and I contacted OMC direct for the LP to NG kit. I paid $78.02 all in for the control assembly and sticker shipped to me. I purchased the NG hose elsewhere for cheaper.
Quote they gave me (back in 2018, when i called in to order they either remove the shipping cost or gave me a discount):
NG HOSE: SP18-11= $121.10
CONTROL ASSEMBLY: 59005-034=$75.65 (Backorder currently)
CONVERSION STICKER=$0.75
FREIGHT15=$14.95

Just buy used. My brother got a big broil king for free last year, all it needed was a deep clean and a new burner and it was good as new for a fraction of the cost.

Oh wow! I have the Baron S440 as well! Going to contact them. Thanks for the tip! This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Picked this up yesterday.
Nice! What vintage is that?
04 was the owners best guess. clean though considering it's age. Igniter doesn't work, seemed like a common issue.
It looks so clean! Definitely a bbq collector's item.
I don't expect anything, but if anyone sees sales on webers for fathers day let me know.
