I BBQ bacon frequently. It's very tricky and high maintenance, but tastes totally different and incredible. It only really works with thick cut.

Hey @The_Rural_Juror This bbq is too large for 4 burgers, even these half pound beasts. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

Why are you still squatting at that house?
The benefits of that BBQ include thicc grates, charcoal pan support, nice wood chip smoker system, LEDs.
That's a big BBQ but the 665 is a nice step up from the 500. 500 is a touch small.
Does anyone here have the PK charcoal grill? I haven't seen one in person but they appear to be a well made and sturdy....unlike the Weber kettle which are flimsy and thin metal.
Omfg. I have just discovered the Kalamazoo. Who sells these in town?

I have a 665 and a 500 and agree the 665 is a really nice size. Much better for indirect heat.

LoL. The Weber Kettle is true OG and works phenomenally in every way doing everything that everyone has always loved about Weber. Just buy one. They're like $155 at Wal-Mart.
I bought one this summer and I was amazed. Need dat chimney for lighting coal, though

The 500 only has space for 31 burgers according to their website. That is only 10 man-spreaded burgers.

I am really considering trading in my car + cash for a Kalamazoo.
I have one from 3 years ago. The legs are wobbly and the welds where the legs go are poor. Wouldn't take much for the welds to break. Great value for the price but I want something more sturdy. From what I've read, the older ones were made better before they started making them overseas (like the rest of the Weber lineup)This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Does anyone's Auntie, Uncle, Niece, or Nephew work at a BBQ place? I have a very good idea what I want with just a few specific questions. Discounts always appreciated.
Edit: BBQ equipment place. Not BBQ pork place like SCK.
Edit 2: White people BBQ equipment place. Not B&J's.

No. I am looking for the Trackhawk of BBQs.
I had Broil King for 17n years and just replaced it with new Broil King, my old went to some folks to serve for few more years.
I said Trackhawk, sir. That's not even an SRT.
What bbq are you looking for? Many of the nicer bbqs out there are not available now due to covid. For example any napoleon pro bbqs are done for the year and have been for sometime. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Theres massive supply issues for bbqs across all brands.
Hypothetically. Would you sell sperm 10,523 times to the sperm bank for a Kalamazoo Hybrid Grill? Of course - asking for SKR.This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
