Do you really need an MT tire?

If it's quiet it's going to be shitty in mud so why even get a MT
The Toyo MT is absolutely considered to be one of the quietest of the mud tires around man... Are you sure it isn't just because the ones you are riding on have maybe started to scallop? If any tire, mud tires especially, start wearing a bit rough they will get super noisy. More often then not, this type of thing happens relatively slowly over time, and when you finally notice it you think they have always been noisy, but because it happened slowly over time you didn't necessarily realize it was happening forgetting they were much quieter when they were new.
^^probably due to a lack of sound deadening in the old H3
Wtf are you putting an MT on?! The Audi??
The best solution to a noisy tire is a good stereo

Not sure about Toyo, but Nitto Trail Grappler is the nosiest thing I have ever heard, my truck sounded like an airplane. I ditched the MT's on all our trucks and run K02's now. Best tire I've ever had, we are getting 80k+ kms of nasty dirt roads, mud and gravel before changing out.
I don't think MT's will fit on a Tesla. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

I run BFG MTs on my WK and have no complaints about the noise. Whether they are quieter than others I have no idea and somewhat doubt given the very aggressive tread pattern.
Love the KO2’s I put on my F-150. They’re quiet, wear well, and look super aggressive. My truck has 18” rims. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote

They have a much improved sidewall now over the original AT/TA. They are a heavier tire, and you can feel it, but the tread life is amazing, the sidewall is reinforced now, and they really are a do it all tire. From the side I find they look better than most MT's, but the tread is not as aggressive looking if that's a big thing for you. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
I guess I shouldn't be surprised that so many people buying tires care about looks. But I am.

Agreed but at this point a good looking AT (K02) performs and costs the same as a basic looking AT (Michelin LTX). May as well go good lookingThis quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
Yokohama G003 is rated to be significantly quieter than the Toyo M/T and last longer. There are several reviews on YouTube. Guy with a jeep has done several follow up reviews and one of his main points is how quiet they are.

I MAKE BALLER CARS MORE BALLER.....
I am personally running on the Duratrac's now for a second season and I have been surprising impressed with their ride quality and durability on my F150. I used to be a bigger fan of the KO2's but I must admit to being a Duratrac convert these days. Both are great performers overall for most situations though. The nice thing with the Duratrac is that for many of the lighter half ton and smaller application sizes, they come in standard load casing structures unlike the KO2's which only come in heavier duty LT rated casing structures. This is way better for ride quality and fuel economy in these scenarios. I ran over 30k last year on them before putting my winters on and they were still probably 75/80% or so when I pulled them off. I sold them to a buddy and just put a new set on again earlier this week. Driving in from Water Valley this morning on a good 10cm of loose and compact snow they performed very well, although my studded winters are more sure footed in that stuff. They are also nice and quiet on the highway although I would suggest on watching the tread wear carefully as with either of these options you want to make sure you are staying on top of rotations so you don't develop a poor wear pattern which in turn would become noisy as time goes on.
I’m trying out the General Grabber AT/X with studs currently and the first 9000km have been great. I tested them in some mud last weekend and they for sure weren’t as good as Duratracs but were liveable. I find them better than Duratracs in snow and ice.
Are these the Kevlar ones Bob? Never tried them before, nice looking tire. This quote is hidden because you are ignoring this member. Show Quote
