Default Painted the nursery - Mural

Got baby #1 on the way. Saw a nursery mural idea online and decided to try and recreate it. 4 paint colors and a bunch of tape later, here we are!
Got the crib for $100 on kijiji. More to come, like a yellow/grey rug, some stuff for the walls, new light fixture, etc. I hope the theme will last into the teens.

That's awesome. Also a great deal on the crib, probably saved 90% from buying new haha.

Yea, I'm buying used as much as possible.

btw, I was really ocd in planning the painting. I did it in photoshop first, then gridded the drawing so each line is 1' apart in real life. Then I drew the lines on the real wall, and marked where corners were, etc. Only the lowest color was free balled w/ tape.

That looks fantastic, good plan on going with a non-age specific design.

I did the peel and stick vinyl stuff for ours years back, that stuff is a motherfucker to deal with.

    Looks amazing.

Hot tip for if you don't want to grid and plan - get a video projector and use that for taping.

I thought of that. But I'd already made the design on paper so my stupid brain was commuted to the slow route.

Damm that is also a good idea, I'll have to borrow my works projector when I do my nursery.

I've seen maybe 4 or 5 of this similar design on my feeds the last year so I think it's already a very popular design.

for the bottom black part, you should paint it with that chalkboard stuff for when the kid grows up a bit. let them draw on the wall without consequence!
