Default Jollibee to open in Pacific Place

    Looks like fall 2019?

    https://dailyhive.com/calgary/filipi...algary-opening

While Jollibee is listed in Pacific Place’s store directory as “coming Fall 2019,” a job listing for a Restaurant Manager at the location was posted online just over two weeks ago, leading us to believe that things are slowly but surely moving with the eatery’s opening.
Kind of intrigued since I saw this place on Anthony Bourdain and in Las Vegas but never tried it.

My dudes, the place is awesome. Can't wait. I had it in the Philippines and it is like crack.

With how many Flips are in and around Calgary, if this was in that new horizons mall, the rest of the mall would fill up pretty quick.

Assume this is 50% worse than how it tastes in the Philippines.

Please. Their food is simply awful - both in the Phillippines as well as North America. I'm sure it is nostalgic for Flips but it is just plain garbage.

it is filipino style spaghetti so it will aso be sweet

I like their chicken (if its like in the US, dark meat only) plus you can order rice as a side.
North American chicken is also alot meatier than the ones in Asia.
My go to order is their breakfast (corned beef with egg and garlic rice).
Excited about this but will not always go, after all it is just fast food.
For a lot of filipinos though it is nostalgia, especially for the OFW that are alone here and working for their family back home.

I’m surprised we are beating Vancouver though

You shouldn't be; think of the percentage of Filipino population we have in Alberta! Although, Vancouver may be next though. Or they will open one up in Edmonton as well. We also have less alternatives than Vancouver so win-win for Jollibee to open in Alberta.

If anything we made a better decision because we had a consensus and were all on the same page.

It's also a good place to pick up a gal who wants to have kids right away and who will have waaay more family than she admits while you are dating.
