This might end up being better than the movie itself.

    @flipstah @taemo , where can I get a copy of the bootleg they're watching?
that was a nicely made commercial, Globe is one of the mobile carries in the Philippines and this looks like a fundraising campaign for tools and equipment for a virtual school for PWD.
@D'z Nutz what do you want, VCD or VHS copy? I'll see what I can find while there later this month

wow, reviews are not looking good. I don't trust critics' reviews when they are good but when the critics' reviews are bad, it's even worse.

Best of the new trilogy for sure. Immensely entertaining and I really enjoyed it.

But I’m a massive fan, so I appreciated the fan service.

Definitely the best of the trilogy that’s for sure. I liked it a lot! Lots of sound porn, can’t wait to watch it at home in atmos and have no 3D.

much, much better than I was expecting.

REviewers are dumb. That piece of trash Ep8 gets 91% on RT, and this get 50% something?

I think I may have liked Ep7 better, but not by much.

Because there are retcons that shits on The Last Jedi.

I enjoy it but I can see why some neckbeards may lose their minds over this. Some elements of the reviews are spot on.

    Spoiler:
Did Lando make a move on that young chick?

Everything they retconned should have been retconned.

I wouldn’t cry if they remade TLJ, they couldn’t do much of a worse job.

When they officially change the original story, that was previously established by the old films (or books, or comics, or whatever)

I enjoyed it. I liked the fast pace. SW movies tend to plod.

I didn't think there was really any retconning.

The movie even somewhat redeemed the PT.

I'm okay with revisionist history where works of fiction are concerned. There's nothing Disney could do that would shock me, I'm a fan of Douglas Adams after all, and he wrote contradictory formats of his works simultaneously. Not to mention the amazing authorized and clearly impossible works of the BBC and the graphic novels.

I'd agree that this movie is better than the 8th. Overall though this last set of 3 movies in IMHO the worst lot of the franchise.

Saw it Friday, I liked it. In order from best to worst for this trilogy series in my opinion:

    1. Ep7
    2. Ep9
    3. Ep8

Really disliked 8, rian johnson ruined a lot for me in all honesty. I think if it wasn't for 8 and what they had to work with in 9, 9 could've been even better. 7 set the foundation. 8 killed everything. 7 set, and 9 had to figure out what to do to get back on track.

Yeah well I wonder how they get the soft flowing caramel inside the Caramilk bar but you don't see me making a god damn thread about it. Slap your wife Baygirl, straighten him out.

Rian Johnson should be ashamed for that movie. Amazing that it got released.

Rian Johnson is a really good film maker. hes not a good star wars maker.

Really Kathleen Kennedy should be fired instantly.

I think there is a good argument to be made that Rogue 1 was better than all three of these.

Rogue 1 was better than any of the trilogies.

So the news is all over this being a big bomb in China.

    Thank god.

We do NOT want our hollywood movies catering to the Chinese domestic market. China, as a whole, as horrible taste in movies...and we want no part of it.

I mean, this is the highest grossing movie of all time in China:
