This 15 yo girl sheds her 2-3yo needles every year and looks like she's in bad overall health. Anyone got any suggestions before I call up the arborist?

Have you been fertilizing it with spikes?
Looks like winter damage, which could be a sign of dehydration? Do you water in the fall? A couple deep waterings late in the fall before the ground freezes could help.

No spikes. I should have mentioned these were taken last fall -but it happens every fall.
I do water in the fall but I have heard of both water too much/not watering enough. So I'm not quite sure.

Tough to water too much. I had a pair of 60-footers and I'd leave the hose on gently for days.
Iron Chelate helps with bringing back some blue.

Never heard of watering too much. Calgary is almost a desert.
