Except for ShawÂ’s 100mbps Upload ceiling, while Telus has full symmetrical speeds.
They fixed that in a lot of neoghbirhoods I think. Not full gigabit upload, but higher than it was. I dunno, I have Telus.

You realize you are talking to the guy who made his own furniture out of salad bowls right?

Edit: my buddy says he gets only 115 up on his 600 down plan from Shaw in Cranston. So yeah if upload is crucial then Telus true FTTH wins. Although 100 up is more than 95% of homes can use.

I genuinely can not find a use case for that much upload. I was hitting the old 25 upload limit here and there back in the day, now that it’s up to 100 I haven’t really run into a situation where I thought I needed more. Maybe for uploading 4k videos to YouTube? I mean it doesn’t take more than 4 mins anyways for a 10 min video. I ain’t there sitting waiting for an upload anyways.

I mentioned in another thread if FTTH telus was available for me, I prob wouldn’t even think of switching anymore. Don’t fix what ain’t broken.

Next referral code goes to Mar. Have to pay it forward.
    He's signed up for Lightspeed.
    Install is today!

My current Shaw plan is 50 down for $95 per month and I'm moving to Lightspeed 75 down for $40 per month. They don't even need to come install it, they're shipping me a cable box and all I need to do is plug it in where Shaw is plugged in now.
