    Default Scanning documents to PDF

Does anybody have any pointers on how to scan 50+pages of documents to PDF as one file?

Or better yet do print shops or even the library typically offer this service? I can't for the life of me figure this out and even if I do save these documents as PDF they're not oriented properly and I can't figure out how to rotate either. Thanks!

Depending on what the starting format is you just need something like CutePDF or PDF Creator. It installs a pdf printer to your machine and you just tell it to print to it.

Page count doesn't matter but a 50 page PDF could get fairly large in size.

Most scanners with a document feeder on top should allow you to do this automated, some will make you refill the hopper after 25 pages etc. My 10 year old HP multifunction definitely does.

As for adjustments after the fact, PDF editing software is fairly expensive.

Thanks for the help, I'm just gotta throw all this on a USB stick and take it somewhere and pay someone, my head's seriously gonna explode and my laptop and printer may need replacing if I keep trying here lol

If anybody knows of a print shop that can do this I'm all ears, thanks

Anyone with a Mac can do this for you, apples built in preview software makes merging pdf’s very easy.

In a pinch, I use my iPhone. It’s a built in functionality of Notes that nobody really knows about. Works surprisingly well.

It’s funny, when they announced the feature I thought it was going to be brutal using the camera to scan. But ya, it works surprisingly well.

That sounds perfect... I'm sure it's cheaper than a new laptop and printer tho and, I'm not anything close to a baller but at this point I have more money than patience lol

Try Office Lens, it works great. Also works better for white boards than just using your camera. https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...elens&hl=en_CA

    First, Staples.
Second, are you talking about scanning pieces of paper or creating pdf's from electronic documents? Adobe Acrobat is now sold on licenses and I think it's "only" about $15/month. That allows you to take your electronic documents (Word or Excel for example) and "print" them directly to electronic PDF files. Then you can open those files and combine them however you need.
It also let's you take multiple PDF's that you created by scanning papers and combine them into one PDF file however you need.
This phone thing is worth looking into.

If you need help editing or organizing a PDF shoot me a PM. I can't help you scan the pages - I also use my phone for PDF scanning in a pinch.

Scanners aren't too pricey, depending on how often you'll need it it may be worth grabbing one.

Also, not sure if you trying to get someone to scan physical docs to PDF or someone to fix your screwed up PDF. The former would be cheaper.

Oh, I have a scanner I just don't wanna subscribe to anything I'm gonna use once...

I haven't even been going to the gym since last week that's how consuming and important this shit is... just filling out these endless forms and printing and scanning document after document...4-6 hrs each night easy... and no gym until I'm done, that's the rule I set for myself and I'm just about ready to snap haha so, Staples it is, don't care what it costs I got until next Thursday to hand this all in.

I have several stacks of printed forms that I need scanned and PDF'd into appropriate files, and I have a bunch of JPEG scans that also need to be PDF'd and merged as individual documents

This is by far and wide the biggest thing I've ever done in my life.

Pretty much every office in Calgary has a printer that can scan to PDF - I would bet you know someone who has access to one.

Staples can scan if you want to pay for it.

Lots of free phone apps scan to PDF, but you did say you probably don't want to do that. It doesn't take long at all and probably isn't nearly as bad as you think it is, but its up to you. You can scan 50 pages into 1 file in under 5 minutes easy - it will probably take you way longer to drive to Staples.

If you also have the forms electronically there are dozens of programs that will PDF them all for free. If you need to do this again in the future, fill everything out electronically.

Copy and paste into Word and then save as PDF would solve that problem, wouldn't it?

It would, based on his description. Or Excel, or Powerpoint, or Google Docs/Sheets. Or you could even just convert the JPEG file type to PDF.
