Default AACI or CRA Designated Appraisers

Do we have any AACI or CRA designated Property Appraisers on this forum?

I work in the financial industry, specifically with Mortgages and have been recently interested in potentially pursuing an AACI designation. I would just like to know more about the designation and about being a appraiser.

Would like to meet someone over coffee or lunch.

    TIA

You work in mortgages but don’t know any appraisers??

I’d call up Scott at S.D Taylor. Would be a good contact to start networking with, they are on basically every lender’s approved list so you would be most likely to get some steady work that way. Unfortunately most lenders use NAS, and I guess the appraiser only ends up getting around $200/appraisal with them. Solidify pays more, but not as commonly used. I use Don at S.D Taylor often and try to book directly or with solidify if I can to help him out

Sorry, I could have clarified. I indirectly work with mortgages more specifically with registered plans. I see alot of appraisals on a daily basis, but I don't personally pay for those, as they are usually provided to me by my clients. I rarely if ever deal directly with the appraiser. With that in mind, I could pick up the phone and call any single one of them, but I figured I would reach out to the beyond network first and see if I could get a name.

    Appreciate the direction. Thanks ercchry
