They only won Calgary because most people didn't like Prentice and stayed home
Except the 2015 election had the highest turnout in 22 years

    Exactly as the polls predicted

Which ones were you looking at?

Anything I saw at 6 months out was showing it close.

You need to learn to look at the seat projections, not popular vote. We don't elect people based on popular vote.

Carbon tax working real well with the plebs once they realize its a tax on everyone and not just the rich. Surely this will bolster the Liberals 2019 election strategy.

Polls on the subject are way up.

    Treason? lol
Many people, myself included, identify as Canadians before we do as Albertans. If Alberta separated, I'd be outta here.

With UCP in Alberta and potentially Conservatives running the Feds...what will Beyond bitch about for 4 years?

This is kind of an interesting topic these days given how much I feel Canada/Calgary has change over the last 2-3 decades. Americans have a pretty stereotypical/steady list of what they identify as.

I'm curious what you identify as a Canadian (or what makes one a Canadian) and then the differences of Alberta(n).

Yeah this is an interesting topic. Perhaps worthy of it's own thread/poll. I definitely would identify as an Albertan more than Canadian, this is largely due to the amount of money that the rest of the country has taken out of our pockets over the years, with no regard of our economy/interests/etc. We're an afterthought for the rest of the country, how could I possibly identify as part of that group?

After living on the east coast for 4 years, can confirm the rest of Canada dgaf about Alberta and barely consider us to be human let alone part of the country.

We are just a place people fly to to make money, we could be Honduras for all they care.

I can try and pass your query on to the people that write summaries for poll results

It doesn't surprise me at all that you'd speak for other people, regardless of their opinions

I removed anything political off of my social media. So glad.

If they don't hate us, they almost actively DGAF about us. "Ermhagerd, 1500 GM plant jerbs! World is ending!" Alberta - "Uh, what about our 150k in job losses??"

Always glad to come back after being out east.

Same boat here. Probably move to abbotsford or langley. Someplace close to the border so I can still ship stuff south.
