Do you see a decent replacement within the ranks right now?

    That's the sad part...
I saw an article the other day saying some of the party strategists are already planning for Peter McKay to take over if Scheer fails. Don’t think he’s an MP right now but could easily land a seat somewhere (maybe Scheer’s if he fails and resigns)

McKay always seemed like he would become the leader. I'm sure once we got to know him we'd find reason enough to hate him though.

Liberal mp fills up campaign vehicle over the border. Fuck the taxes.

I wonder how many times he's done that, or if he declared it at the border.

You don't need to declare fuel used in the vehicle at the border. Some people might call that being fiscally conservative though, lol.

From out west: Rempel? John Barlow?
Non-West could see Kevin O'Leary make a more serious run (maybe more doubtful if his wife killed someone with Boaty McBoatFace)... Mackay as mentioned?

Not saying I'm hugely supporting any of these, but they might be considered by the members.

Lisa Raitt after the FaceTime she had with the SNC inquiries makes sense to me. A lady leader would be a good idea too..

CPC is known as the party of old white men. Having someone who is not all three of those would be pretty powerful in terms of deflecting some of the identity politics that seem so important these days.

CPC will never choose a woman as there is nothing more nauseating than a morally compromised woman. We expect the Kenney's and Ford's, Trumps and Scheers, but voting public won't vote for a woman like that. No chance. Society is still too sexist for that to pass.

You just need a mans woman up there. A good looking tradeswoman turned politician.

It would work, she’s probably swear more than all the dudes in the room, too.

The extreme right does like their Aryan princesses, you have that right At least when young, until replaced. The Ann Coulters, Meghan Kelley's. Tomi Lahren's, but voting wise, they would be a disaster.
