Blackface hasn't been acceptable for a very looooong time. Jesus you might as write NIGGER on a placard and hang it from your neck.

Should get him more votes in Quebec.

Unfortunately the party wasn’t die hard themed.

Raffi Torres got a big outlash for his JayZ costume. I'm sure this is going to be epic considering his platforms.

I dunno, I have a hard time keeping track 9f what I'm supposed to be outraged about. I hate JT, but for a bunch of other reasons.

He's not the white Trudeau we deserves but the dark Trudeau we needs.

If it wasn't for the liberal cabinet vote being whipped it might not have even passed

As per the principle of cabinet solidarity, all cabinet ministers were expected to vote in favour of government-introduced legislation. While backbench MPs in 2003, six future cabinet ministers voted in favour of a Canadian Alliance motion defining marriage in exclusively traditional terms. Joe Comuzzi decided to leave cabinet in order to vote against SSM. John Efford, a cabinet minister who recently opposed SSM decided to vote in favour of C-38. Former Liberal MP Pat O'Brien said he was personally told by six ministers that they may leave the cabinet rather than support SSM legislation, but this did not happen. Stephen Harper has pressured Paul Martin to allow his cabinet members a free vote, citing the precedent of Brian Mulroney in a capital punishment vote in 1988.

I think the best part too is that it's a Liberal Prime Minister who fucked up, whose platform has always been about being 'woke' and stuff.
Now the Conservatives are calling it racist and are now scrambling to be the next 'woke' party after the Liberals! Hhahahaha! ....in the past, it's always been my observation that people on the right of the spectrum tend to dismiss racist accusations as "pulling the race card" (if writing off the racialization of a non-white person) or writing things off as a display of 'white guilt' (if condemning a white person's fight against racism). This should be a VEEERY entertaining election season (if a bit shorter than the 'Muricans).

I can imagine it already: A Conservative Albertan who would otherwise have told anyone offended by this to Shut the Fuck up, has now done a full 360... all because it's Trudeau who did it.

Hmmm... my only question is... why bring this card out so soon, why wouldn't they bring it closer to the election and if the Libs are ahead?

Another lost election because the Trudeau faithful are the only thing more hypocritical than he is.

Once again, the standard by which he judges others does not apply to himself. It doesn't matter what political party you support, that shouldn't be acceptable. For the liberal party to not punt him as a leader is unacceptable, I wouldn't even care (as much) if they won the election again so long as he wasn't the figurehead. What an embarrassment.

Let's see what that Singh has to say after he said that 'he wouldn't support a conservative minority government because of Scheers comments on gay marriage 15 years ago'.

Guess he is ok with a racist from 15 years ago?

Of course he will be. Justin gets off free because he's changed, whereas Sheer (who I also dislike) is incapable of change as is every other person who isn't a liberal or one of JT's chosen ones.

Basically no one cares. Conservatives don't, and liberals only get the Twitter rags machine aflutter when the identity politics suits them
