well, first meaningful promise made so far, Sheer has flat out promised to scrap the carbon tax. Suppose that's nothing new, but, first real issue that a promise has been made on.

A few good quips but too much focus on climate change, not that it's not warranted but everything kept looping back to climate change.

    Also, Elizabeth May is crazy.

Well, no matter your preferred method or date, get out and vote.
Why bother? The winner is called before our polls are even closed. Hell I'm expecting them to call it earlier this year than 2015. Like our votes out west even makes a difference at all.

Impressive! they've managed to design a debate format just as poor as the candidates themselves.

Do Canadians really believe this "climate emergency" hysteria?

    Voting PPC.

Trudeau treated the debate like question period. Why even bother with questions if you're not going to answer them.

Who let the HuffPost host? And the Toronto star? Jesus christ

Should have had a drinking game for every time Trudeau says Harper

I was joking with my buddy that if I had a dollar for every time Singh said "large corporations" and "fair share" I'd be a part of the 1% he hates so much.

What I don't get is why so much of the debated was focused on climate change and the so called "climate emergency"

They believe in climate change and then immediately turn it into a hysteria. People are more convincing when they aren't hysterical.

They actually hit on everything I'd expect. Climate and dairy being hot topics. Debt is definitely lowest in the civilized world at around $15,000 per Albertan - A totally "doable" debtload considering relative new-ness of nation. We do tend to do debt by province, whereas USA is so far gone now that the average Californian does not want to know what they owe compared to a Texan.

On a side note: I do believe that where Scheer had his US parentage does factor into how much exit tax he owes. If parentage from Puerto Rico, Guam, or even Alaska - he actually might get away with just paying the few thousand dollar paperwork fee. If from California or New York, he might be paying extra. But now, it looks like he might not have to renounce at all. Scheer could probably renounce Canada and run for a US state if he is so inclined.

    Cheese cartel is evil.

The greater conspiracist in me thinks that Scheer was chosen to lose, just so that he could run for office in the USA. Which will make a much stronger candidate next election. This is the Dune "Rabban" to "Feyd", where you take a loss in one to make the other one look like a shining star.

I don't often agree with you but any time you can make a Dune reference I'm on your side brother.

He could have been non-consensually fisting Beyonce and it wouldn't hurt his chances. He is your prime minister for another 4 years for sure.
