Will be interesting how this changes the Atlantic Canada projections. NDP was only projected to win a dozen or so seats out there anyway. The bad thing is that a likely minority government will have the greens as a more legitimate coalition partner.

I expect a 10 day lag before this news impacts the poll projections.

Its pretty clear its going to be a Liberal Majority or a Liberal minority with Green support.

Scheer was a terrible choice for leader.

Yeah, and Trump wasn't supposed to win in 2016 said virtually every poll... it's not over yet, don't believe all the garbage coming out of the media.

This is scary if the polls are trending truthfully.

Wonder what our sorry state of an economy will be like in another 4 years.

Closed and boarded up for business.

I am just shocked that a third of our country are voting for weirdo fringe parties...
I think people feel that is their way of protesting if they don't agree with either of the two big parties, but really it would be better for everyone if they just voted for the lesser of two evils, one of which who is going to win regardless.

Most Canadians are just as susceptible to the same populist rhetoric Trump pumped out.

I already got a text today from Sarah the conservative, asking for support. Man, they're starting early.
Rempel already got all the signs out and started door knocking. She gets my vote anyway.

Sometimes poor polling gets people motivated to get out and vote. Likely what cost Smith the municipal election. Let's just hope it works in Scheer's favour.

That was one example. There have been examples in Canada over the last few years where the polls got it totally wrong as well, 2013 BC election and 2012 Alberta election come to mind.

If Canadians are willing to accept corruption and deceit on a grand scale by re-electing the Trudeau Liberals, then God help all of us.

I just hope this recent interest in the Green party (while the NDP implodes completely) attracts enough Liberal votes to create the sweet middle ground for the Conservatives to rise up through. I know of a handful of people myself who voted Liberal in 2015 who are voting Green this time.

The Conservatives can always rely on a solid ~30% base... it's all about the swing votes and split votes for the win.

Dont forget a Liberal majority (or even better a Green coalition), increases the chance that Confederation itself comes under assault. Silver linings.

Everybody keep thinking Green as king maker. But I'm betting BQ will make a come back.

Wrong. It increases the chance. From 0.0001% to 0.0002%.

This is the best chance you've had about actually being correct in a pointless argument for a long time, I'm rooting for you lady!
