Live your best life with or without kids.

My best life right now means no kids.

My best life in 5 years might mean kids, who the hell knows. Life is so fkn unpredictable.

Tell that to basically everyone else I talk to whenever the subject comes up.

According to most people, my wife and I are:

    • Selfish
    • Irresponsible
    • Arrogant
    • Heartless
    • About 50,000 variations of the above.
I hope you aren't friends with the people that think that stuff haha. More power to you if you don't think kids are right for you, and have chosen not to have them. That's very commendable.

Some would say you're never too old.

After experiencing the difference between my first at last child, I would disagree. Shit's hard when you're young... I'm scared of the future holds hahaha

Bro I'm worried about kids too. They cost so much in time, energy, and money.

But that said, you have to have kids for the right reasons not just cause of social pressures. Alot of my friends had their first kid last couple years and I would say it's all worth it for them. We are basically like family so it has been awesome watching their kid grow up even though we're not there for every milestone. I think it's super cool to watch little humans develop, learn new things and have experiences that craft them into the people they'll become.

Just not worth it for me right now.

I wish more people were this honest and mature.

People just pump out kids because they seem to think it's the thing to do.
And that's the sad thing because we put way more thought into not having kids than my wife's sisters or my sister did about having kids...and yet our decisions where always questioned or challenged.

At least that all pretty much went away in our mid 30s.

I don't see the point in having kids

The world is overpopulated, it isn't like I'm going to be contributing anything useful by having kids. Just bringing hardship to myself.
If you wanted to help the world, you'd actually have some kids to raise the herds intelligence a point or two. Too many braindead slobs are having too many children, we need reinforcements!

The best way for us to keep population down, and ensure our survival is to enforce a one-child policy. That will surely work!

I thought about that, but dumb people breed like rabbits. You can't do anything to curb that sort of trend.

Even if all the smart people on beyond decided to have kids to fight it, they would be grossly outnumbered by the exponential amount of offspring the trailer trash at my high school has produced alone.

The world is going to be fucked worse than ever in the future, bringing kids into it is just cruel
People have been saying this since the beginning of history.

    It's BS

We are far better off as a species right now, than at any time in history. By a long shot.

Statistically speaking, literature shows that being in agreement in 4 aspects of life are predictors of a lasting marriage:

    1. Religion
    2. Money
    3. Children, how to raise them and with which family values
    4. Inlaws and how to deal with them

It’s pretty shocking the amount of people that are avoiding kids to “live their lifestyle”. I didn’t think I’d be a person that likes kids but they are so interesting, entertaining and challenging. Life we be boring without them. Travel would be awsome with no kids though.

You probably sum up pros and cons of having kids in 1 sentence.

However, if there was an EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE chart of North America, I would argue that it is going down, probably not that quick though.

People definitely used to have/use more common sense/basic reasoning in the 80s and 90s.
