Default Electronic Deadbolts In Tight Door

In order to open our deadbolt now you have to pull on the door handle to align the door properly and then the pressure will come off of the deadbolt and you can turn the key to open it. I'm guessing this is so the door presses tightly against the weather stripping to keep the cold air out but we're considering moving to an electronic deadbolt and I'm worried I won't be able to remotely operate it if it doesn't quite line up with the deadbolt hole without pulling on it.
What's the solution for this? If I realign the door, will it let cold air in?

You need to adjust the regular door strike to keep the door tight without the deadbolt. The electronic lock will struggle if it’s too tight. My front door shifts slightly in the winter and the lock drags. I keep meaning to chisel the deadbolt hole open a touch more, but I never get around to doing it.

This, the knob latch should be holding the door tight and the deadbolt should move freely. Else, its not adjusted right.
