Default Riding to work & Security

I'm curious how feel about riding to work and the security of their bike. I've though about riding my bike to work but I only have a unsecured area with a high volume of traffic and people.

I know I could use a bike cover and lock, but I know in the end if someone wanted it they would take it.

Do you guys who ride have hesitations of riding to work for reasons like this? Or this there things you do that can help prevent any issues?

Or maybe just better to not ride to work and do so after work?

Trying to decide if the risk is worth it.

If its my R6, I would be okay with unsecured parking its heavy and a bitch to move. The Ruckus and the Grom..... they are super custom and stand out, and relatively light so I am a little more worried. I have secured parking in my building so it allows me to ride the fun toys in.... but I get nervous even parking them on 17th ave. Someone could literally pick them up and put them in the back of a pickup

Yeah my bike is no light weight that is for sure.. and would be a bear to move.

Do you lock your bike? Or just leave it as is?

I got a 13 Dyna Street bob that's quite modded and also quite heavy. I just lock the front fork and lock the ignition switch. Aside from that the only thing that ever concerns me is if somebody gonna sit on it, or even knock it over.

I don't think twice about riding my bike to work. I lock the ignition and forks and we're good. I'm with Shlade, I'm more worried about people sitting on it or knocking it over than I am about it getting stolen. At least if it gets stolen I have insurance.
